  1. Just got advised by a doctor to stay away from crowds and at least a meter away from people. This virus is a heavy virus and only travels through the air about a meter (unlike the flu which can travel through the air about 4 meters), but it survives on surfaces for 2 days. This is why those people on the cruise ship still got the virus even though they were in isolation. They were being served food on infected trays. The best way to avoid it is to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water and not touch your face before doing so. Because it is a virus anti bacterial wipes and hand sanitisers are not as good. You need to wash it away with good old fashioned soap and water. And always use fresh towels and never use blow dryers in the toilets. They spread all sorts of germs, right into your face. From what the doctor was telling me I don't hold out much hope for us seeing any football this year at all.?
  2. The problem with people who think they are funny is that they are not. Leave the jokes to the professional comedians Howe.
  3. Vaccine for the coronavirus.?
  4. That's disgusting. Instead of being out injured the following week, the poor players had probably caught some unspeakable disease. You're right. Can't afford to let anyone catch the virus from having some low life spit on them. ?
  5. ONLY Essendon supporters? You must be in a generous mood. ?
  6. I agree fans of certain teams should be permanently locked out, virus or not.
  7. The Premier Daniel Andrews has warned more schools are likely to be closed and there may be a prospect of the cancellation of football games and other sporting events, anywhere crowds gather together. What will we do? If the games continue without the fans in attendance, are you willing to risk your health and exercise your democratic rights to go to the games regardless? Will there be an uprising? Are we willing to die for our team?? I say stuff the coronavirus. I love the boys and I want to see them this year. Just when they are looking good! Premiership 2020 with or without a crowd. Go Demons.
  8. There's some guy in China who coughed and sneezed one day and said, no worries, it's just a cold. Now people are brawling in the supermarket aisles over toilet paper. We can convince ourselves of anything if we want.?
  9. Welcome to the real world. Bunch of spoiled sooks.
  10. Don't care what anyone says. It was a nice change to spend a quiet Friday night and watch Melbourne win a game of football, especially against Hawthorn. Let's hope we're allowed to attend the football this year. Don't want to see it cancelled, or played in empty stadiums.
  11. Jack Viney led from the front. Great game. Cameron Rose=[censored] journalist.
  12. Always good to beat those ugly brown and golds, in anything.
  13. No holding the ball against Hawthorn players plus Frawley fakes a little push in the back. Umpire pets.
  14. Very nice. (Bedford's goal)
  15. Hawthorn and the umpires are giving me the s@*ts and I can't afford to waste the loo paper. I'm running low.
  16. The quote from this Cameron Rose, "expert", in the article is "Maybe it was injuries that cruelled the Dees last year, even though all clubs have them. Maybe it was complacency after having achieved nothing." He's a Richmond supporter. So easy to criticise when you're on the winning side. Ignore him.
  17. No disrespect to Simon for starting this discussion, but I can't believe we are giving time and air to this negative article by Cameron Rose who calls himself an expert and even says himself he will argue with anyone who doesn't agree with him. I had to look up this Roar to see where this opinion piece came from, having never read this AFL site. He's a Richmond supporter. I think we can ignore his opinions now.
  18. Spare me the violins. The season hasn't even started and the campaign is underway to portray the bombers as underdogs. I suppose we will also get the James Hird deserves another chance at coaching narrative at some stage during the year as well. So sick of hearing the same thing about this team, how we should all feel sympathy for them. Please.
  19. The word 'star' is bandied around too loosely today. (I'm looking at you, reality show participants). This is what a true shining star is. What a champion. What a great man. Imagine if he was playing in today's game. People would have to invent new words to describe his skills and greatness. Even superstar is not good enough. P.S. Loved the vision of Jimmy in his number 37 jumper hugging Robbie after a goal. Miss them both.
  20. No wait staff to deliver the goods to the paying customers? So that's what went wrong! We all went hungry last year. ?
  21. Won't be expecting anything less. Duh.
  22. My doctor told me yesterday a lot of people are getting sick because of the conditions. They have been flat out, with unusual lung ailments presenting in patients for this time of year, (summer), such as lung and sinus infections usually seen in winter and the flu season. Horse races have been cancelled. It's just not good for anyone. Probably best to stay indoors. That was my doctor's advice, anyway.
  23. Was speaking to a Geelong supporter the other day. They were so envious of the fact Melbourne had a ruckman of the calibre of Max. Now we need the team around him to be worthy of his excellence. He already leads by example. Give him the captaincy.
  24. Why am I not surprised no one from the AFL agreed to appear on the Insight program on SBS? They seem to want to ignore anything which is unpalatable. No wonder Barnes sounded bitter.
  25. The goal sneak is a rarity these days, especially in the Melbourne team.
