  1. Does this mean Melbourne will start as favourites every week now?
  2. Looks like a lot of Melbourne fans escaped the lockdown. Good crowd there. LOL.
  3. Who have we beaten now!!!!!!! Brisbane haven't played out of QLD until today. Cruisers.
  4. That was something out of nothing. Kozzie! Hands off the Big Mac!
  5. Having become a regular reader of the ABC News app and a regular viewer of the 24 ABC News channel since the Covid hit us last year, I have come to realize some journalists display a fair amount of ignorance in some subjects, and don't always do their research. Some of the line of questioning they pursue at the state press conferences are unbelievable. The answers to their questions can usually be found themselves, not by asking them at a press conference and wasting everyone's time. Anyway, it seems many of the presenters and journos at the ABC seem to be from NSW and QLD, so I suppose you have to factor that in. They will never understand our passion.?
  6. Having the game stolen from them last week gave the team the hunger to win well tonight, while the Dogs had an easy game against the Saints last week, giving them a false sense of their worth. Well done Dees, a good four quarter game all round. And there is room for improvement!
  7. I get the feeling the umpires are getting a twisted satisfaction in giving deliberate out of bounds against Melbourne tonight.
  8. Never doubt the Big Mac. He's so good. (Thanks Trac!)
  9. What's with the love fest for the Dogs by the umpires? I can never understand it.
  10. Not playing the Saints this week, Bulldogs.
  11. Let's face it. The AFL don't really care. They all go home and have a good sleep at night. It's only the fans who are still stewing.
  12. People love spending on their pets, so I think an opportunity to cash in on this is being lost. I'm thinking pet collars (dog and cat) in the Melbourne colours, including the royal blue as well, and the pink used for the Pink Lady games, bandanas for the pets to look stylish, in these colours also. Dog leads, maybe even pet beds, id badges. I would buy items like these.
  13. All the footy shows advertise and discuss gambling on the games every week, every second ad appears to be betting companies, the AFL does nothing to discourage the amount of gambling on the games, and yet the results of these games are in the hands of amateurs who are too scared to make a decision or the correct decision when it is right under their noses. Decisions should not be made because they fear the wrath of the crowd. If the free kick is there, pay it! That includes any free kick in the course of the whole game, right up to the last seconds. So many times it seems to be a free for all (pun unintended) in the last minutes of games where the umpires panic and let everything go, afraid to make ANY decision. So much money is gambled on football every week, to me it is almost criminal of the AFL to sit back and pretend these mistakes don't matter and don't cause any harm.
  14. After all the years of watching the team get robbed by the feral crowds in Adelaide influencing the umpires you would think I am immune to the rubbish and humiliation I have witnessed. NO I AM NOT. ??
  15. It was so good to be back in our own reserved seats today. Hello old friends! As I took my seat I noticed a large weed flourishing between the cracks of the painted concrete directly below me. Hmmm.... is that a sign? Will the Weid play well today? I was looking forward to the game. Like others have said, it wasn't pretty, but it was workmanlike. The job was done without much fanfare, although there were enough exciting moments to make the win enjoyable. Never doubt the Big Mac when having a set shot! Hey Eddie, anything you can do, Kozzie can do better! May and Lever, take a bow, two Mr Reliables. ANB pops up when least expected to do some damage. Lots of love for the Weid every time he contested the ball. Trac wasn't his usual self but never mind, we still had a good time. Got the win, take the points, look to next week. Yes, getting used to this winning caper. Feels good!?
  16. I don't believe in the mindset "due for a loss". Do they really believe players go into a game thinking they won't try so hard today, because we are due for a loss anyway? Surely the opposite is true when the team is winning games. They will not want to lose and will fight to keep the winning streak going.
  17. I couldn't understand why the umpires were giving the Swans players so much time to dispose of the ball before they called play on. Last week Melbourne players were called to play on almost as soon as the ball was in their hands. Another rule which isn't applied properly or consistently.
