Players confidence & 'love' for a coach is reflective in their performance too I would have thought......
-
Lewis & Vince were in the choccy box & played most weeks whether they deserved to or not. Ask Spargo, Lockhart, Hore, Petty, Hannan, Preuss, Jordan, Sparrow, Dunkley, Chandler & the Wagners what they think of Goody......Wouldn't have thought there would be a lot of love there.

This reply is spot on.......✅ The 666 rules seems to have had a negartive impact on Gus too......

Jake Lever.. Can someone explain??
Laughing Goat replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
yes true, but what impact did Lewis actually have & what did he bring to our club? -
I agree.....Fantastic coaching.....elite.

Great work as always JB.....thought I'd have a go! Gawn Best on ground Jetta Found out today May Might be overated Lever See comment above Tomlinson Might be ok Brayshaw Accountability is missing Hunt Pace is critical Langdon Disposal a worry ANB Better than most Melksham Spark was missing Jackson Maybe another week Bennell Every game 'bonus' Fritta Unusually off target Viney Not his best Oliver Usual good game TMac Shadow of himself Rivers A real find Harmes Back on ball Jones Don't think so Petracca A superb display Goodwin Out coached again

I agree but one of Goody's boys PF & just shows you that the buck stops with the coach.....He drafted him, so he plays simple. Lockart very stiff Hopefully for Bennell's sake too he gets through.....Goodwin put a lot of faith in him on limited prep. Hopefully doesn't comeback & bite SG on the [censored]. Should be an easy victory, but we've said that many a time before.

Stynes: Greatest football story....Brownlow, 4 x Bluey's, 2 x AA, Hall of Fame & 244 consecutive games.....rediculous! Flower: Super skilled in very difficult times but more importantly, loyal to the red & blue, Capt 81-87, 1 x Bluey, Hall of Fame & 2 x AA Barassi: 6 Premierships, 2 Bluey's, Capt 60-64 & Hall of fame Neitz: Capt 2000 - 08, 1 x Bluey, Coleman 02, 2 x AA, Hall of Fame & 7 time leading goal kicker

Richmond have been the benchmark for the last few years......that's the difference. Not much enjoyment more most supporters or players when you only win 5 games for the year.
-
Yes they did.....mostly the first quarter & set up the win in my opinion. WCE controlled the ball efficiency after that & took the foot of the pedal. Your right re turnovers & re bounds with 159 effective kicks to ours at 116. Cohesion no matter at what end takes time to develop & that is something we don't have so will be interesting if things change Pates.

Backline a worry for me......got exposed in round 1 Jetta May Salem Smith Lever Hibberd Langdon Oliver Harmes Melksham Tmac Petracca ANB Weideman Fritsch Gawn Brayshaw Viney I/C: Tomlinson, Pickett, Lockhart & Bedford
-
Just get Roosey back.....Best available coach by a mile & the numbers whilst he was in charge at the Dees don't lie.

Like most I think Hutchy is an attention seeker & some of his dialogue is cringe worthy, but I do agree with him on this. Unfortunately we are under the pump big time to perform so the focus from our leaders might be better directed at the footy & winning games rather that how we look. I'm not sure that a captain in his first year who goes out & gets a mohawk is sending the right message to the other players, coaches, supporters & sponsors etc. That's only me though.....

I bet Sheedy hasn't complained about GWS poaching all of the swans academy & NEAFL players......
-
Very optimistic of you rjay......& I agree a flag may change things, however, that's more that a couple of years away, let's be honest. (I'm happy to be proven wrong though) ? Stynes will also have the number 1 tag stitched up for a long time IMO & can't see any of the new crop challenging Jimmy unless Oliver wins another couple of Bluey's.

More 'raw' ability than most & although he stood somewhat in the shadow of Jimmy Stynes, he was an amazing player & athlete. Loved him RIP Sean
