According to Demonwiki*, Arnold has held that record since he retired after the Grand Final loss to the Dogs in 1954 to coach Stawell. We love Gus, but Lance Arnold was a great of the Melbourne Football Club too. How about these achievements: He played CHF as a 22 year old in our 1948 Premiership side.
