Return to Your Reserved Seat from Rd 9
Rab D Nesbitt replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I was quite enjoying being 7 rows closer to the bar in N53. At least we have our aisle seats back I guess. Swings and roundabouts. -

N53 second deck Northern Stand ?

It looks like our good fortune might have ended with our recent injuries and suspension whilst Sydney look to bring back Franklin and Rampe for our game. I'm in the leave T-Mac in the forward line camp. Harry Petty has trained all summer to work in the backline and should now get his opportunity. Tom may well be the next in line should anyone else go down during the season but for now I prefer him up front. Tom Sparrow would be my choice to fill the gap left by Viney in the midfield but I'm a little less sure that Weids is the best replacement for Fritta this week. Particularly if the forecast is for wet weather. I would place Gus back on the wing which would see Sauce go back to Casey most likely.

Seven rounds in and the season's of Collingwood, Hawthorn and Essendon are effectively over with St Kilda and Carlton's year hanging by a thread. What a great time to be alive.
-
You're right of course EO. It really gives you perspective. I'm now thinking of all the horrible five goal wins Hawthorn fans have had to endure in recent years. Thanks, I feel better already.

I feel like I’ve been to a wake yet we won by five goals. Whether that’s a good thing or not I haven’t yet worked out. ??♂️

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs North Melbourne
Rab D Nesbitt replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Not sure whether it fits the narrative but while we're posting quotes this is my favourite from Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton. “Men Wanted: For hazardous journey. Small wages, bitter cold, long months of complete darkness, constant danger, safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in case of success.” Enjoy your day boys and girls. We've earned it. -
If we and WC win tomorrow we will be 3 games clear inside the top 4. After just 7 games. Golly.
-
So far so good. We can go a game clear and all the chat will be about the dumpster fire over at the Holden Centre and Clarko taking over from Bucks. Happy to fly under the radar for another week.
-
Hope Trac is watching this. When do Collingwood play North ?
-
This game at the g is atrocious.

Hi LH. I don't care about the AA's either. What's the sense in being named in a team that doesn't play anyone ? Not sure what you mean by the picture hook though. Rance is the 'author' (that can't be the right word) of three children's picture books. Rabbit's Hop, Monkey's Tail and Tiger's Roar. Although the last one could be an official Richmond season review for their cognitively challenged fan base.
-
Dogs look like they have control of this one.

I know a Footscray loss tonight could see us go top on Sunday but geez it would be good to have Richmond miss finals.
-
Jake is 4 AA and 3 picture books behind but time is on his side.

Christian Petracca is A Demon For Life

Perhaps waiting until now to table an offer was a good move after all as he’d arguably be leaving the best side in the comp if he did move on and what we offer in $$ becomes less of an issue. -
It wouldn't surprise me to see Vanders back playing for Ainslie next year. I think this is the last year of his three year deal with us and his body just doesn't seem to be able to stand up to the rigours of AFL football any more unfortunately which is a shame.

Davros. One of my all time favourite villains. Love it Picket!

Back to Back Blockbuster Friday Nights for the Dees
Rab D Nesbitt replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Surprised that they're drip feeding details of the next batch of games to be played before we've even started this batch. Should be nice and cool in the red centre at that time of year, particularly at night. -
Meh.

I haven't heard of the guy but I'll check out some of his articles. In the order of importance shareholders come first, second and third with Qantas. It wasn't so long ago they tried to change Qantas operated international routes in Asia over to Jetstar and base them offshore for tax purposes. The idea was then to employ Asian staff on much lower contracts and have those flights make a domestic stop en-route to their Australian destination (ie from Bangkok to Adelaide via Darwin as an example), effectively allowing low paid foreign staff to work domestic routes within Australia (Darwin to Adelaide). Not sure what became of it all as I work in a different part of the industry these days.
-
Hi AF. With the exception of Qantas whose employees are currently being paid $500 a week on what has been named Qantaskeeper by the federal government the rest of the travel industry has been left to die on the vine. Nobody makes any money selling domestic travel, despite what god might have told our PM.

Sweet! That should be a cracker of a game against Brisbane.
