I don't see why Alistair Clarkson couldn't take a year out of football to coach Carlton.

This would make a great Mel Brooks musical.

So the first job of the new board is to assign the position of Football Director to someone with dementia. What could possibly go wrong. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Didn't Diesel Williams talk about the memory loss he's suffered due to the repeated concussions he had as a footballer on an old episode of Open Mike? Not to make light of the subject but perhaps someone that can't remember the last twenty years is why he's been chosen as the best candidate for the job.

I'm struggling to understand why Carlton's sh!tshow is so much more appealing to Ross Lyon than Collingwood's?
  6. This plan would need to include a covid safe travel corridor to & from The Tippler on Wellington Parade.
  7. A lot of the footage in that video belongs in The Rinsing of the Demons thread. It's hard to believe it's the same club to be honest. We were a complete and utter rabble from top to bottom.

Hi Jontee. Yeah, that’s his nickname apparently. Personally I wouldn’t be looking to push any decent players out the door. Treating them as tradable commodities can be a quick way to erode the culture we’ve got our squad to invest in. I’d prefer using draft picks if we were enter the conversation for his services. Assuming we have anything worth offering.

Does anyone know if we had an interest in him prior to being drafted by Fremantle? Players like Rick Lever & Tommo were two that eventually found their way 'home' to us.
  10. Dogs have gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in a blink of an eye. Clear on top before losing their final three games & main key forward and now being shunted down to Launceston to play a sudden death final in a late Sunday time slot. Judging by the pro Essendon crowd at the recent Hawthorn game down there it'll feel more like an away game in more ways than one.
  11. I don't know about anyone else but every time I watch Max run in to slot that goal last night I still have my heart in my mouth hoping it goes through the big sticks.
  12. If this game were a horse you'd pull a screen around it and put it out of it's misery.
  13. You'll never believe this but I had this crazy dream last night that we came back from almost eight goals down against Geelong to win the minor premiership and Maxy kicked the winner after the siren. Yeah, I know. Mental.
  14. Have the Dogs been in the top four right up until the last 7 minutes of the season?
  15. This must be torture for the Dogs fans 😂
  16. Are Hawthorn getting stuck into buckets of KFC in the changing rooms?
  17. It's a glorious day outside so I'm keeping busy with some landscaping until beer o'clock at around 4pm. Then I'll put my feet up and have a look at the warm up act at the Gabba before the main event at KP. How good is it having the best Melbourne side any of us have probably ever seen and knowing they will probably only get better.

Hi TT. I ran our cheer squad with four mates at the back end of the 1980's into the early 90's. At that time everyone within each cheer squad knew them as run throughs whilst everyone else on the outside called them banners. The general consensus at the time was that Lou Richards was responsible for using the incorrect term during his match commentaries and it spread from there but I wouldn't know to be honest.
  19. A very good friend of mine set this up. In many cases it can locate an article within 15 minutes of it being uploaded and it's where I first read the latest about our new training facility next to AAMI Park. If you only want to read / watch / listen to Dees related content and not the hoi polloi sitting under us on the ladder then it's a great reference point.

I get annoyed when people say banner. It's correct name is a run through.
