  1. With the prospect that Mumford might be playing his final AFL game (again) tonight lets hope for a bit of carnage on his way out.
  2. It's a shame things didn't work out for him at North. I've seen him a few times at the Cherry Tree down in Cremorne and the Denis The Menace cafe round the corner. I think he has a golf apparel business with his brother that should keep him busy post AFL.
  3. Nice to see you recognise Frankie Boyle in your side Demonstone, albeit on the bench. Personally I'd be building my side around him. As for the answer to your quiz however I have no idea unfortunately.
  4. If our boys stay healthy and on what I've seen this weekend we could be a just a Jeremy Cameron hamstring strain away from a flag.
  5. The more I watch hard slogs like this the happier I am to scrap the pre Grand Final bye. If the Dogs somehow went all the way to the big dance they would have travelled from Launceston to Brisbane to Adelaide then Perth without a week off.
  6. Hey there Pennant. Enjoy cheering on the boys and the bhoys.
  7. Weekends don't get much bigger in the Nesbitt household than a Qualifying Final and an old Old Firm game. I hope I still have a voice come Monday morning. Enjoy your day everyone.
  8. I don't see why Alistair Clarkson couldn't take a year out of football to coach Carlton.
  9. This would make a great Mel Brooks musical.
  10. So the first job of the new board is to assign the position of Football Director to someone with dementia. What could possibly go wrong. 🤦🏻‍♂️
  11. Didn't Diesel Williams talk about the memory loss he's suffered due to the repeated concussions he had as a footballer on an old episode of Open Mike? Not to make light of the subject but perhaps someone that can't remember the last twenty years is why he's been chosen as the best candidate for the job.
  12. I'm struggling to understand why Carlton's sh!tshow is so much more appealing to Ross Lyon than Collingwood's?
  13. This plan would need to include a covid safe travel corridor to & from The Tippler on Wellington Parade.
  14. A lot of the footage in that video belongs in The Rinsing of the Demons thread. It's hard to believe it's the same club to be honest. We were a complete and utter rabble from top to bottom.
  15. Hi Jontee. Yeah, that’s his nickname apparently. Personally I wouldn’t be looking to push any decent players out the door. Treating them as tradable commodities can be a quick way to erode the culture we’ve got our squad to invest in. I’d prefer using draft picks if we were enter the conversation for his services. Assuming we have anything worth offering.
  16. Does anyone know if we had an interest in him prior to being drafted by Fremantle? Players like Rick Lever & Tommo were two that eventually found their way 'home' to us.
  17. Dogs have gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in a blink of an eye. Clear on top before losing their final three games & main key forward and now being shunted down to Launceston to play a sudden death final in a late Sunday time slot. Judging by the pro Essendon crowd at the recent Hawthorn game down there it'll feel more like an away game in more ways than one.
  18. I don't know about anyone else but every time I watch Max run in to slot that goal last night I still have my heart in my mouth hoping it goes through the big sticks.
  19. If this game were a horse you'd pull a screen around it and put it out of it's misery.
  20. You'll never believe this but I had this crazy dream last night that we came back from almost eight goals down against Geelong to win the minor premiership and Maxy kicked the winner after the siren. Yeah, I know. Mental.
