  1. Fair outcome. Both sides equally rubbish.
  2. TMac will only ever be thrown back if we lose a key defender during a game. It’s just one of the reasons he’s so valuable to us.
  3. Dodgy welding on 1,200 tonnes of steel imported from Qatar needs to be replaced in the new stand they're constructing at the Cattery. I guess slave labour just isn't what it used to be. https://www.austadiums.com/news/1261/steel-defects-delay-gmhba-stadium-redevelopment#:~:text=It's been reported the delays, been blamed for the delay.
  4. Early autumn when the leaves start to change colour, red and dark ales reappear on tap and a new footy season is within touching distance is easily the best time of the year to be alive.
  5. Gore St. That’s a nice part of town Earl. I can see why The Rose is your local.
  6. If he pulled the boots on as recently as 2021 can we assume that his symptoms started after that date or is he perhaps suggesting that his decision to play is due to impaired judgement caused by his head knocks?
  7. Hi layzie. I understand having it as a policy during covid restrictions but all those tables in the front room will always get filled regardless. I used to like getting there just after they opened (which used to be 12 noon during a day game) and grabbing a seat in the window with a pint and the paper until friends turned up.
  8. Hi dworship. I know they keep funny hours these days but I've been there until midnight on a Saturday night after a game. Don't know if I'll be there this Saturday night though because of the replacement rail buses they are running on the entire Sunbury line.
  9. Too early to say really. Looks like it'll be a cracking day weather wise though. I really want these four points as I have no intention of getting on a railway replacement bus full of Dogs fans after the game.
  10. The Tippler on Wellington Parade is probably where the more discerning of our supporters end up. I've seen Rod Grinter and some of the past players group in there a few times and Hamish Blake once. I've made a decision not to go pre-game this season though as they introduced a $50 non-refundable credit card payment to book a table last year which can be a bit of a mare if your plans change at the last minute. No such problems after a game though.
  11. LOL, Richmond 2nd. I find her ok but let's face it, it's a really low bar.
  12. Wow. That's a bargain then. Particularly considering who our opposition are in those three home games. Might partly explain how we've hit the 50,000 so early too.
  13. They’ll need to do another one at the end of July for the 3 game $13 ‘membership’ that’ll get us to 75,000.
  14. Dundee's nickname is the Dees. Aberdeen takes it's name from the river Dee but they are known as the Dons after the river Don. Both of which run through the Granite City. BTW I also hate the music played after a goal and between each quarter.
  15. So lucky to have this guy as our leader and an ambassador of our club. Makes me smile every time I listen to him.
  16. Buses on the entire Sunbury line that weekend might stymie the opposition attendance numbers. Considering they have only had an intra club hit out and a practice match against North I wonder if they could be a little underdone for this game.
  17. The porta-loos down there would be like getting into a sauna on a day like this.
  18. Big crowd. Hope we're charging Richmond supporters to get in.
  19. Well, that’s excellent news then. It also means there will be fewer flights coming over my house.
  20. Hi Redleg. I'm not prepared to pay $1 to Rupert Murdoch to view the article but I'm pretty sure that the new runway will run north to south and further west than the current runway so it's hard to see how that will affect The Hangar (unfortunately). Brimbank Council said the increase in air traffic would adversely affect the health of it's residents but wiping out a facility where Essendon supporters congregate would surely balance things out.
  21. Deary me. And they thought Belgian colonisation was bad!
  22. "I understand that as an AFL player, I have standards I need to meet and, on this occasion, I have fallen well short of the standards expected of me as a footballer and as a representative of Collingwood." LOL.
  23. This just popped up in my youtube recommendations. It's Will Schofield of the Eagles & someone called Dan Const talking to Max. If you want to hear the story about him smoking a dart on the way to training or working at Domino's etc for the hundredth time then I've added the link below.
