  1. Hi Luci. Yeah, perhaps. I just get the feeling that it's caught everyone just enough off guard to be able push it over the line. For us, in our ability to get enough value back on the field for the immediate future and for the potential suitors to perform the list management and salary cap gymnastics required.
  2. Agreed daisy. Although I think it has more to do with his *cough* media content and brand manager. I'm sure both our club and his actual manager will be working behind the scenes over the next 12 months to get their own respective ducks in a row should we find ourselves back in this place next year. Brand Petracca won't be caught with it's pants down again and there's any number of ways he can claim that the marriage isn't working if he's intent on getting out of it and to appease him we've likely agreed to consider this as a possibility. I expect that the chatter about him and Koz will be a constant noise throughout 2025 and we'd want to have a very good year on field to keep it in the background.
  3. It was mentioned on here that in some years he is due to pocket as much as $1.7 mill. Perhaps one of them is 2025 and getting that out of the way together with his preferred destination clubs having twelve months to do some financial housekeeping is what we’re seeing play out here.
  4. One guy I used to work with had the equivalent membership at Collingwood with a GFG but he was paying around $400 more than me, from memory. A current long term Carlton member I know with the same membership has to enter a lottery for the GF if they make it, I'm guessing because they are *cough* big clubs with so many members.
  5. Max all the way. I love when that music starts and our man mountain emerges first from the smoke filled race to lead the side out. Hard as nails on the ground yet has all the subtleties required to represent the club off it. I'm dreading the day he hangs up the boots for good.
  6. He's on there now making a big club sandwich.
  7. I'm on a Tridents auto renewal with GFG and have no plans to change that. People I know with similar type memberships pay a lot more than I do and still have to enter a lottery for finals tickets.
  8. A carefully crafted media statement. I reckon Phil Davis got it right. He's on huge dollars and with comes a responsibility to help lead the club in difficult times. Let's see if he's up to it.
  9. The semantics of who did or didn't pick up a phone, how long ago they did or didn't do it and what they did, didn't or should've said on the call are starting to do my head in. I'm going back to work.
  10. I'll tell him No.31 says hi. I think he's opened another place near the top end of Smith St recently?
  11. And I've got Tamura Sake Bar next door covered demoniac.
  12. You might have to wade back through a few pages of this thread to find it but apparently it was reported that a few of our players had dinner at Marion Wine Bar in Gertrude St on Tuesday night and were overheard by people at the next table to them saying what's up with Trac acting weird.
  13. So after yesterday's scandal of footballers out to dinner overheard saying guy acting weird is acting weird I wonder what the fifth estate has in store for us all today?
  14. I've just listened to the interview and don't understand what the hysteria is about. I turned off after listening to the first dingbat that called in afterwards. As an aside, Phil Davis has such a calm and measured tone. I don't think I've heard him speak before but he's wasted on talkback radio.
  15. Sweet Jesus. The guy that gave us Neeld? Chicken Licken himself would be embarrassed by some of the reactionary nonsense being posted on these threads right now.
  16. We need Goody and Perty to get on the front foot and double down on their last double down about our culture being great before we lose control of the narrative here.
  17. If you're talking about game day we'll go into negative attendance figures.
  18. I'm going with a stooshie or a stramash.
  19. Trac to Richmond could instantly see them back contending for 9th and a wildcard spot.
  20. Personally I'd prefer that we don't see how the next 12 months play out and revisit his request then. The way his head seems to be at the moment he could just go through the motions (as some thought Dogga did) buying time for the likes of Collingwood to find the draft capital.
  21. Can’t believe he’s joined the media pile on about our crowd sizes. He’ll no doubt get a hot reception from our red & blue legion the first time he plays at the G in opposition colours. For his sake he better hope it’s on a cold Thursday school night with replacement rail buses running.
  22. The more I read about what he's allegedly said the more he comes across as bit of a tøsser to be honest. Wants to leave because we don't pull in the crowds? Tell Toby Greene that.
