The Tobie Travaglia Thread
He's the style of player we seem to like, plus with Rivers moving into the midfield it may make sense.

2024 Phantom Drafts
I guess what teams will weigh up with Langford is if he's a liability in centre bounces, you're pretty much paying up for an expensive medium sized forward

Not sure he's any good in the footballing aspects of being a footballer but the explosiveness is quite titillating bo-allan_lVnEhZEj.mp4

Has the athletic profile and physicality, can someone more familiar with him advise if he has the skills and brain?

Welcome to Demonland: Blake Howes
One of the more intriguing players on the list, has the athleticism and talent, but never looked totally settled at the level, at least to the point where he did much with ball in hand A big watch for 2025

You don't take key defenders with top 10 picks

It'd be a bit of a laugh if we took him with what was originally essendons pick 9

Langford looks a ripper but I can understand his lack of speed putting some teams off him

Lucky for Essendon I'm hearing there are a lot of great options available at pick 18 of the 2025 draft

Looks like he's happy to crash packs, good speed too. I think he's looks decent, whether he's worth bypassing the more highly rated mids at pick 5 is another question.

2024 Phantom Drafts
If Norf swapped with Richmond, and we do love Armstrong, wanting to get in before the Saints have the chance to pick him, there's a world where both Smillie & Langford are available for the Saints. Question is would they double up on big bodied mids? Worst case scenario if we went early on Armstrong is we miss all of the more highly touted midfield options, even Smillie. 1. Rich - Lalor 2. Rich (via North) - FOS 3. Carl (via WCE) - Jagger 4. Adel - Draper 5. Melb - Armstrong 6. North (via Rich) - Tauru 7. StK - Langford, Smillie, Travalgia? Allen? Reid? Lindsay? 8. StK - Langford, Smillie, Travalgia? Allen? Reid? Lindsay? 9. Melb - Langford, Smillie, Travalgia? Allen? Reid? Lindsay?

2024 Phantom Drafts
Much intrigue remains over whether Richmond and North Melbourne will do a deal which could land the Tigers the first two picks in this year’s national draft. It is believed that the Kangaroos are open to trading pick two and a future first-round selection to Richmond, in exchange for picks six and 11 in this year’s draft. Such a deal would still leave the Tigers with seven early selections this year — at picks 1, 2, 10, 19, 20, 23 and 24 — along with two first-round picks next year.

For the guys likely to be available at pick 5, I like Smillie and Langford a lot too!

2024 Phantom Drafts
We need more runners If we go with a big bodied mid for pick 5, that doubles down on the need for speed with 9 imo

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
- Welcome to Demonland: Pick 5
Edit: more guess work, another nothing article A big winner during the trade period, the Demons positioned themselves nicely for the draft by grabbing a second top-10 pick. They already held pick five, but also managed to nab pick nine from Essendon. Melbourne gave the Bombers some later selections – as well as their future first-round pick – as part of the deal, but are now well-placed to bring in two top-end talents. List boss Tim Lamb has declared that “supporters should be really excited”. With two top picks, the Demons could snag two different types of players. At pick 5, a gun midfielder like Harvey Langford, Jagga Smith or Josh Smillie would be handy. At pick 9, Melbourne would surely have to look at Sandringham Dragons key forward Harry Armstong if he was still available. Measuring 195cm, Armstrong’s best traits are his overhead marking and his accurate goalkicking, while he also has the tank to push up the ground and get back. The Demons are also considering picking up Gippsland Power small forward Ricky Mentha as a Category B rookie, through their Next Generation Academy. - Welcome to Demonland: Pick 5
