  1. He looks a fair bit better an athlete than Daniel, for what it's worth. Quicker with a bigger leap - 7cm taller than Daniel, too.
  2. Surely Hibbo instead
  3. Get killed by Daniel and then bring in Bowey haha
  4. Constable and Crouch are too similar to Viney, Harmes. Big bodied ball winners with little versatility. Shame there's a bidding war for Cerra, he would be nice as a cherry on top type mid...but not for $700k. Keen to see Carlton put all their eggs in one basket again tho.
  5. Been thinking this for a while (even when we were winning) is that Oliver & Petracca carry too much of the load. Viney can, on his day be excellent, but having donated his brain to science often makes mistakes similar to Harmes. Compounded with Brayshaw's moment into full-time podcasting it does get a bit thin. Personally I'd move Rivers or even Bowey (in time) to the wing, and try and reignite Brayshaw's career in his actual natural position. Maybe even Rivers into an inside mid role. Reminds me a bit of Yeo, booming kick, tough, good mark for a mid (not Yeo good, but close to it). On Jordon, think you're underselling him a little, reminds me a bit of Macrae, albeit not as good as athlete. Obviously tough to gauge his upside though.
  6. Brayshaw + a pick for Cerra is the move One of Bowey or Rivers to the wing next season Balances things out
  7. Is Sparrow an upgrade an ANB? Not sure, but couldn't be worse I've been a Brayshaw defender but some of his efforts were terrible, throw Bowey to half back and Rivers on the wing if they think he's got the tank
  8. So you place higher value on mauling lower sides than beating the best ones? Interesting. We could lose tonight, because the dogs can be a good side, but they’re not a premiership threat. Literally Port Adelaide 2.0, look amazing against sides 7-18 but shaky against the rest
  9. I think it's more to the fact that the dogs are highly overrated (and still have a couple injuries) rather than our top 8 record
  10. Not sure Bevo's ever outsmarted anyone
  11. Dee's by 52. Naughton's second game in a row so he's due to get injured too which help restrict the dogs.
  12. Was I not allowed to agree?
  13. Their forward line is crap. Naughton's a star but if you restrict his output the rest crumble. With that being said, JUH is the ace up their sleep, whether he can show it consistently though is another story for a 1st year player.
  14. Haha Harmes tag Libba when it worked first time round? Surely you jest...his tagging days are done with Viney is in the side. Hope I'm wrong tho!
  15. Unfortunately with Viney back, he'll get the job
  16. Trac not dynamic enough for ya? But yes agree with the sentiment. Although I do think Harmes as a pure tagger so does the dirty work, works out well. Unfortunately he’s way behind Viney in the pecking order.
  17. Bit bizarre isn't it? Defensively liability at one point turned into a defensive wingman. Maybe Goody is playing 4D chess and it's all the masterplan to unleash the insid mid Gus with a great defensive game circa 2025.
  18. Would love to know the footy department's thoughts on Gus. Do they genuinely not rate him highly so they stick him wherever on the basis he's simply better than the next best available player who is out of the side? Never understood taking him out of the midfield rotation.
  19. Good, Maynard's too boring. Go and recruit a point of difference.
  20. Reckon Port (at full health) are better than the Dogs & Swans
  21. Simply adopt the 2018 game plan of having 2 blokes by themselves in the goal square at all times for cheapies when playing the bottom 4 sides
  22. Leppich said something to the effect of 'you'd rather be in Melbourne's position (having beaten the top sides) rather than be in Port's position (downhill skiiers).'
  23. Harmes not listed, assume he'll play?
  24. Libba is a test to play for this week apparently (no, not a covid test). You'd assume they'll rush him back with Dunkley out tho.
