  1. Channelling @goodwindees I'm THIRSTY
  2. Midfielder or we riot
  3. Can't be that big of an issue if Lockhart never played
  4. Fair enough. Personally I'd be really disappointed if we spent a first round pick on a medium sized defender. I think it's one of those positions you can mould a player into. Both my head & my heart are telling me we'll go for the best available mid (not a massive prediction given it's a midfield heavy draft).
  5. Early prediction is one of Mitch Knevitt or Matthew Roberts.
  6. Is our lack of medium sized defenders a bit of a myth? Neither Hunt nor Tomlinson were out there on grandfinal day.
  7. His form peaked in finals, the byes helped him a ton. Should just be rest I reckon?
  8. Why are Dogs getting both? They have no trade currency. They may pickup another fringe type ruck like they did with Stef Martin, but ironically enough the last two years of gifted talls (Jamarra & now Darcy) have really restricted what they can do short term. Those two will be guns long terms but for the sake of 2022/23 are irrelevant to them.
  9. Who was the last mid we took in the first round? Clarry? Reckon they'll want the best available mid imo, with that being said if one of the more highly rated talls slide, their hand may be forced
  10. Hope we package up 37 & 49 to get a pick in the late 20s
  11. Still wish we got Isaac Smith to be honest
  12. Best available mid hopefully
  13. We truly have adopted an anti-Jeelong list management philosophy
  14. If it all blows up in our faces, you'll all have a flag to dry your tears on
  15. You don't win a flag then 'win' trades in that sense anymore. Bowey made an immediate impact.
  16. Via the Carlton Draft https://carltondrafttshirts.com/collections/frontpage/products/copy-of-wing-kings-tee-front-only
  17. Sounds pretty spot on
  18. How this trade hasn't gained more attention I don't know. If Laurie ends up looking the goods we're laughing. Essentially a freebie on top of Bowey. Ironically enough, Bowey would be a great replacement for Birchall.
  19. In fairness I think Smith is known for being an incredibly hard trainer
  20. Well that was good timing....just posted from the club - “We’ll look at every opportunity to improve our draft hand,” he said. “We’ve been quite active in that space over the past few years, and we’ll do our best to do that again in this period.” https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/1023592/trade-period-what-s-next-for-melbourne-
  21. Wonder if we'll try to have a crack
  22. So you're saying it's a done deal?
  23. Hope so, but it'll be difficult this year. Can't match bids within the top 20 picks so fewer sides needs points. And winning the flag means clubs won't be as keen on our future picks. I really hope we do trade into the first round (or at minimum upgrade our pick in the 30s to an earlier second rounder) but it'll be hard.
  24. Interesting when you compare that with Carlton's recycled player count for next year of players projected to be best 22: Cerra, Saad, Williams, Newman, Hewett, Jones, Setterfield, Newnes, Fogarty A total of 9
