At the end of the day player at club who came 15th decides to leave them, has offer from team that came 9th but signed for team that made the Grand Final. Back to the drawing board for that wing spot

AFL Trade Radio
appreciate you sharing your info. Understandable that things can change quite quickly in the sporting world, especially without people knowing all the details. Lazio thought they had lined up free agent David Silva a few months ago and just needed a contract to be signed, fast forward a little bit and they saw a press release saying he had signed for Real Sociedad in Spain.

Hore & Spargo Ink New Deals
Spargo has his deficiencies but as some posters mentioned above he can play a part/role in terms of linkup play and score involvement. Hoping he grows his game further this year as well. Imagine

2020 Contracts and List Details
Appreciate the spreadsheets @Lucifer's Hero OOC 2021 seems large - but can probably draw a line through Jones, Jetta, Preuss, KK, ANB to begin with. Big year for the like likes of Smith/Hore/AVB with one eye on the list situation,

Hore & Spargo Ink New Deals
Agreed both worth persisting with, just holding off all my judgement until my boy Hunt is secured.

Hore & Spargo Ink New Deals
https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/832475 Hore’s extension is also for one season, while Spargo has earned a two-year contract, keeping him at the club until at least the end of 2022.

Nathan Jones Locked in for 2021
In 2 minds about this - will make up my mind when squad numbers are confirmed and we see which other players are retained. As @titan_uranushas said it won't be on much coin (hopefully). No Guarantee he'll get his 6 games next season either way.

Good News for Footy Crowds in 2021
Guess being a dual MCC/MFC membership means I've got a good chance at any ballot! With restrictions and what not in place, could we see the MCC adopting seated areas where you can drink? THE DREAM?

2020 Player Reviews: #38 Mitch Brown
Wonder how much impact the potential Brown trade has on Brown staying on the list in 2021.

Jesse Hogan on the way out at Freo?
from the Mini-Draft to potentially joining GWS by Trade many moons later.

Hibberd Extends for 2021

The Brodie Smith thread
Would ANB would be bundled in this trade?

THANK YOU FROM DEMONLAND
Thank you Demonland from me but not my employer.
-
Jesse Hogan on the way out at Freo?
Glad we talked to him. Talk to all the options and go with the best one that fits, which at this stage looks the Brown route. Hope JH does have a good run at a new club though

Isaac Smith
Not sure about this part based on some of the replies in this thread! Can see him going to the Cats now though.
-
Neville Jetta
Players take a cut to be in a consistent finals team. This can only be achieved once a team consistently makes finals. Sometimes it feels like Maintaining seems easier than reaching this these days.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Agree 100% @Pickett2Jackson, hope we end up with two blokes with weird hair styles running around the f50. What a sight.

Brad Crouch
Side query: Is there anyone the cats will target now instead? They've got picks, we have an abundance of inside mids etc
-
Jesse Hogan on the way out at Freo?
I remember in 2016, we just ended the 10 year drought against Hawthorn. Hogan was a late out for this game. A few minutes after the final siren he was walking through the G on level 1. Slumped, hands in pocket etc. Still accepted my high five but just seemed very flat. Granted he could have been cut about missing through injury but just seemed rather nonchalant. Any win against Hawthorn should have everyone up and about.

Free agency - the rich (clubs) get richer
See this is what annoys me, the top teams can maintain their status through free agency and also being on top - certain playing groups are happy to sacrifice some $ to maintain success in the chase for a flag. The lower clubs often need to pay overs in terms of picks and $$ to players to try catch up, which often backfires and this doesn't help either.
