  1. After we lost to Geelong saw quite a few facebook replies having a go at the jumper as if they were blaming it for the loss. Wonder if the Geelong facebook replies were complimenting their Retro Jumper for getting them the win aha. At the end of the day we wore it 2 times in the Sir Doug Nicholls Round/s (one away, one home) and then we wore it last week as it was NAIDOC week. Wearing it in the NT seems rather fitting? Let's win this week and then the top can rest in neutrality with a 2-2 record.
  2. Turner would be the beneficiary here i'd imagine, maybe something to consider in 2023 - Wouldn't change the backline too much this season
  3. Strange career he has had; from the backline to the forward line to potentially heading out the door to a premiership to then being a key missing cog
  4. Does a GOAT have a thumb? Not sure of the logistics of the hoof . At least a decent break until our next game.
  5. A few poor performances, wonโ€™t be the last time we lose in Geelong. Big lift needed for the remainder of the season for top 4, but as we saw last year, not over until the final kick .
  6. Carlton Draught run something called the Carlton Draft wherein a bunch of recently retired players get drafted for 1 game to struggling country/regional teams (who have nominated for the chance to get the opportunity). So a feel good story for the small club and they can get some press and some good canteen takings etc. Also basically an extended advertisement for Carlton Draught - Additionally who doesn't like wordplay. This year it was as follows; Alex Rance: May 14 at Campbells Creek Eddie Betts: May 22 at Branxholme Wallacedale Dale Thomas: June 4 at Nhill Tigers Shaun Burgoyne: June 11 at Dalyston Jarryd Roughead: June 18 at Gormandale Nathan Jones: July 9 at Portarlington Brendon Goddard: July 9 at North Wangaratta Cam Mooney: July 23 at Longwood
  7. Admin please add a Laughing & Crying Emoji reaction aha
  8. Wonder if there is a Brisbane forum with a hot thread full of people worrying he won't nominate for F/S aha. Got 51 touches the other week, magnet.
  9. Excellent news, with Geelong light on defenders - makes me wonder if we'll go tall with Out: M Brown, T. Bedford In: Gawn, Jackson One for the selection committee Bedford would be unlucky, but he also had a tremendous miss on the weekend that still baffles me.
  10. Whilst I do have concerns about our forward structure - one positive about it is we are a bit like a Hydra - have many heads, cut one off and it wont necessarily kill us.
  11. Drove by this evening on my way home from work tonight and our AFLW team were training on it.
  12. Liked what I saw on Debut. Curious where he sits on the pecking order when everyone is fit, looks to have a good future.
  13. Thought Hib was the worst of the lot watching on tv. Brown seemingly got a knock early but came back on etc
  14. a little rough, think we had enough options but maybe not enough specialists? Just unfortunate that the injuries were clumped together. M Brown/Tomlinson only being considered as Gawn/Jackson/Daw/Tmac are out injured.
  15. I do wonder if Chandler will think about a move. Toby has grasped his chances in the seniors better than Kade has, both good depth just curious how patient he is
  16. Imagine they will return to the ballot system, what is it 13,000 seated and then another 10,000 or so walk up? I'm still a Restricted MCC Member so I'd have a very low chance of attending the GF in the reserve. Especially as there are so many MFC fans in the MCC Had to buy the MFC/MCC Premium package and then the GFG on top of that. Hopefully will be a full mcc member whilst we are still in the window aha

Optus just added La Liga to their package, which makes Optus sport that little bit more appealing, whilst also making KAYO that little bit more unappealing as a year long option.
  18. Live scenes: me smashing F5 on @Lucifers Hero's Contract thread.
  19. They talked about Hayes on SEN recently https://www.sen.com.au/news/2022/06/21/the-young-ruckman-whose-future-may-sit-at-another-club/ But would he want "In case of emergency break" status?
  20. Must be a very long straight.
  21. This is how I see it too, same with Gus. Would like them both to stay though. It seems Lachie Neale is going to sign ax extension with the Lions. Maybe freo want to use the money elsewhere?
  22. Was happy with an improved performance from BBB but still room for improvement. Hopefully kick starting this week against the Crows.
  23. Dangerfield got 3 weeks last year for his bump, this seemed worse, would be very surprised if itโ€™s less than 4
  24. One of my mates is a Lions man and If there was a "what are they saying in the Group Chat" thread we'd have the following; On having Talls "Flip side is our complete lack of speed" On opposition small forwards 'Def our weakness'
  25. Great update, thanks @poita The MCG was our training ground last night!
