If I recall correctly , CSL is doing 1 million doses a month and has been for some months. Supply no longer an issue.

Apparently the Fed Govt was offered in July last year priority access to whatever volume of Pfizer and Moderna they wanted. Thanks no thanks was the answer. Apparently partly as they wanted manufacturing capability here and there is a connection between the Libs and a high ranking employee at AstraZeneca. I find Ronni Salt on Twitter a good starting point . The US has ample excess. Look at RACF rollout. So, my mind will be firmly turned to this come election time. I don’t have a strong view on the Victorian government management as I don’t live in Victoria - my family who do (I’m an ex Victorian) do and most of them very much support him, thinking the beat up is mostly Murdoch driven, and one who is in the MFB who does not - he also blames DHHS for being poorly prepared particularly around the social housing lockdown in North Mel). I think some of this is very complicated and wouldn’t like to be a the position some premiers have been. I think the state premiers have done well in the main. there are some exceptions - Ruby Princess. For the RACF deaths in Vic I would tend to blame the system that hires casual workers who need to work across facilities to make ends meet and who aren’t adequately trained and prepared. Who manages the bulk of aged care and accreditation and is responsible for the for profit aspect and thus focus on wages. In my view the key issues have been RACF, vaccine procurement and rollout, and quarantine. I’ll let others make their own minds up- that’s just my view, and I know where the responsibility for these lie

I seriously doubt they are morons. I mean, if I was putting money on it, I’d likely put a lot of money on the epidemiologists, infectious disease experts etc vs Internet forums and the general public (of which I am a member).

Forget footy in Sydney, Bondi cluster +10 overnight. I hope everyone remembers who is responsible for the vaccine rollout come election time (which I hope is in Oct). As Albo said: Start jabbing and stop stabbing.
  5. You delete Instagram, Twitter off your phone. You lock FB down to your friends/family. No whatsapp. You ring people and see them F2F. You don't visit Demonland, Big Footy, skip articles about your form online. Unecessary noise.
  6. The line at 1.90 22.5 is very tasty on this one

The problem with this is that there is limited transmission at present, which doesn't provide a compelling reason for people to hasten their vaccination timeline. The prof on RN Breakfast y'day morning also spoke to the different profiles of people. She mentioned that hesitancy was really broken into "wait and see", "undecided", which makes sense given the low level of circulating virus. Another way to look at this is: so long as we have low numbers, then international travel and unrestricted (read: low risk, low friction) domestic travel is out the window. For some that's unimportant, so there's no need to hurry. If you're a university chancellor or any number of industry/vested interests (excluding tourism) who relies on a steady supply of international students, temporary migrant workers (capital C Capital to contain wages), etc, then follow the money. There is a clear interest in vaccinating the populace to reopen the borders.

  9. Enjoy it - better on them than showering us in bath water and it’ll make it all the more enjoyable if they fall in a heap Then we can hear all these moronic stories about how David King and Journo X was “burnt” by the bombers - whatever that means
  10. That’s sad to hear - the club can’t play a player in this mental space I don’t think. Not good for him or the team - back to the 2s for a reboot and get back the mojo Hope he is off Twitter Insta etc
  11. Is Polec even playing in north seniors right now ?

On this statement: "There is 0 evidence of outdoor transmission", citation required - is this the case. Parking that, though, as others have said, it's not just about proximity in seats - it is incidental contact - toilets, bars, entry/exit, etc.

Citation required for this statement but isn't the risk lowered?

No need for apology. You are of course right. Let's not forget why there's a rush to get vaccinated - lot of vested interests want the borders open (perhaps not the RBA, as they wish to see wages growth which now looks to be occuring. Shock horror! Training locals!).

Well, not quite. AZ continues to be administered at scale. If you mean into the future, perhaps. There is Novavax and now the BCG TB vaccination depending on the trials currently underway. BCG a live TB virus, Novavax (protein) so there will be options. AU has 50 million Novavax on the way (presumably once approved).

Residential Aged Care Facilities: Pfizer is still (or should still be) the vaccine being administered to RACF residents (and I think workers). Link.

Most RACF will be on Pfizer.
