  1. Jeez that was actually really funny. They sound like us a while ago. Good humour.
  2. The good thing about this is there is more than one Spargod Positive Lingers Salo Lever May Petracca Oliver Tmac
  3. Gawn said they’re in Adelaide for 2 nights on their podcast
  4. Miles off, who buys snow gear at Aldi? Yikes! It's Burton AK or bust baby.
  5. Play your principles, not your fears.
  6. Dr Bridie O'Donnell is her name. Ex pro cyclist, olympian, medico.
  7. Few things stand out No countdown timer Umps in white quality commentary relative to today That Adelaide kick (McLeod?) in the last 30s would have been deliberate today We had some absolute guns
  8. https://www.macrobusiness.com.au/2021/05/disastrous-four-headed-hydra-pattern-devours-bitcoin/ The enviro effects should confer a penalty - horrible.
  9. What a bizarre world we're in where the boards are dominated by threads like this, and none related to "is Goodwin the right guy", "Trade Petracca" etc.
  10. Poor old Eddie. He could be out playing golf, surfing, cycling, business stuff, but no, needs to play this.
  11. Still paying $19 on Ladbrokes for the Brownlow. They're offering cashout on Petracca at 2-1 (he was 13-1 at start of season). And they were offering cashouts at 3-1 the other day which shows they think he is less likely to win than last week. Demons were 26-1 on Ladbrokes start of season (I had 10 on them), Ladbrokes is now offering early cash out at 4.16....gone up from $3 last week. The money is coming in for the Dees it seems.
  12. Can you imagine this being posted on “what they’re saying at Goschs Paddock/Casey Fields/insert other place “ on other forums - most other fans wouldn’t be able to understand such ripping repartee like this and the Dunstan bit above. Too much humour, intelligence and correct grammar. It’d be lost on most.
  13. I would like to see us come out switched on and hard and get ahead early. AFAICR we haven't done it yet, with ruthlessness.
  14. If he kicked more goals he might get more attention. But yeah, Tracc, Gawn and Salem take votes. Be interesting to see how Saint Ed Langdon polls. Man I love him to bits. Pops up on the goal line to touch on the way through. Mr Everywhere. My current jumper has #13 for Jako and Oliver but the next might have to be #15.
  15. Domainfax article. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/not-so-marvellous-afl-optimistic-despite-drop-in-crowd-numbers-20210516-p57scw.html Niall, Wilson and Gleeson are onto it. It's all too hard. Vaccine hesitancy probably not helping.
  16. What games are likely losses, do you think? I was going to say Cats at the Cattery, but we did nearly beat them (thanks Max! (again)) there (I think 2018) and we are better now (but they have Cameron, so...). I'd say Port, Eagles, Geelong and one of the Bulldogs games. Brisbane line ball. Of course, there's a chance we go 20-2 or 19-3. Long way to go. The other way of looking at it is likely wins. Suns, Bombers, GWS, Adelaide x 2, Hawks, Pies, maybe a Dogs game - that puts us at 17, perhaps 16.
  17. Interesting article in Domainfax about how all the difficulties around ticketing and the Kayo offer/Kayo in general is keeping people away. As an interstate member I looked at the Carlton game, followed the instructions in the email to a letter and wasn't able to get a ticket. I'd have thought you want to make it as easy as possible. Of course, ticketmaster's horrible system doesn't help.
  18. Good assessment - Adelaide over there should hold no fear given our team . I’d love to know if home ground advantage presents any real advantage in recent times given how much playing away from home last year. Perhaps Optus and the Gabba might be a factor still
  19. Misread. I’d be ringing asap
  20. Brownie with the Scoop!
  21. Is that top 8 at present or where the opponent was when we played them
  22. Past performance doesn’t guarantee future returns. Take your point but we could be on the end of some thrashings and see a dramatic drop. I manage risk and to me this seems like useful outcome on some fronts. You are right that continued 4 goal wins are useful but despite wins of similar magnitude our % is dropping off. Technically you could restrict a team and mete out a thrashing. Eg 100-40 etc.
  23. You know what I mean.
  24. I agree - we need to take the opportunity when presented to bury teams and get the %. It could mean the difference between 1 and 2 or 4 and 5..... You can't sit back waiting for a team to make mistakes. What if they don't.
  25. How's TMac's floating-across-two-touch-one-hander in the pocket, when he floated across and snatched it from BBB? TMac is making it look easy, even in the wet. What's up with Weid?
