  1. not hostile to the idea at all, think its quite a good experiement and could provide much needed cover atm. oscar would feel very stiffed though, didnt think we should of got rid of him (even if he was resident demonland whipping boy). heard that oscar was training at carlton, does anyone know if he got a spot?
  2. Thank goodness that someone said it. I hate richmond so much more than any other team in the league. add to that all of my richmond mates drunk texting me last night ffs. I long for the days of the 2010's when Richmond were pure dog poo.
  3. don't get me wrong, i'm no geelong fan but as @Diamond_Jim put it, port fans are very much like pies fans on steroids, just hate the port supporter base a lot more.
  4. I imagine this would be a unanimous consensus among demonlanders, but man do i hate port supporters. they are simply a shocking supporter base. For instance, what was the need to cheer wildly at hawkins hitting the post as if they had just won the grandfinal. maybe i'm just annoyed because we always get a bad run of it with the umps when we play them over there.
  5. Guys, calm down, we'll just get David Mission back. problem solved.
  6. This just goes to show that they pick who they see as the best 22 players in the squad and not the best players for each position. If you want a winger, ed langdon would beat out guthrie any day of the week (not too sure about other wingers from other clubs but you get the point). Not really fussed tbh, just interesting to note. I though Max deserved it and he got in, awesome job to the big man!! as for tracc, well we all knew that was coming. lovely to see two in the red and blue make it! Go Dees!
  7. I would not handle losing Oliver at all, really hope this is all just conjecture and Mcclure trying to stay relevant. Tracc talked about Oliver and himself stepping up into the more mature leader type role. Can't see any credibility in this story at all and Mcclure should get an absolute serve for this if it isnt true.
  8. Maxy actually deserves to make it, he only had two bad games this year, one against west coast and the other against port, and he got hit around a bit by ryder and marshall in the saints game. Every other game was a complete demolition job on his part. Can't see why they wouldnt include him. but theres too much hype surrounding nic nat i guess so trac will probably be the only demon to make it. Just for those non-supercoach demonlanders, below is max's weekly scores for this year, you don't have to put too much stock into them if you don't want, but he should definitely be in the picture for selection imo. Someone who talked about reputation at least for max i think is very wrong. He totally deserves to be in the squad and should be very much considered for the team.
  9. We should have seen this coming, the same people that made us fly up to Cairns for a same day game. absolutely pathetic. Collingwood over represented as usual. Steven, your an all australian in our minds.
  10. Of course I’m happy we won and will be getting behind the freo boys tomorrow however I nearly put my hand through the wall (Clarko style) in that last quarter. Only Melbourne could nearly lose a game they should have had sewn up at 3q time. Two oppo goals and we get wobbly legs, that didn’t fill me with confidence. Still, go Dees!!!!
  11. Everyone here is playing out all the scenarios and just accept that we will smash essendon. Not so fast my friends, where has your mfcss gone???? does no one remember 2016 Round 2. I'm not even confident about beating essendon, let alone relying on other results. Please prove me wrong dees.
  12. If Freo help us out, it will hopefully go down as well so just need Hogan to have a day out next week.
  13. Does dogs % matter for us?
  14. Totally agree, if Jacko is ready though, does he come back in for Brown, I think he does. He would be seriously unlucky but i rate jacko's versatility over Brown's experience.
  15. Could you give a quick rundown for the none foxtel viewers? (no sarcasm, genuinely interested)
  16. Bit harsh on Viney at least on tonights effort, only one that provided any sort of good clearance work. I agree that he can sometimes be too much of a bull for his own good and for that of the midfield balance but there are other fingers to be pointed tonight, just not at him. agree on rivers, langdon and vanders.
  17. Absolutely pathetic, it was their for them and they couldnt perform against a substandard freo side. I've never been more mentally broken in my life.
  18. Absolutely gutting, every game this year where we have a goalless quarter, we lose. They have a mental lapse and switch off and it’s all over. why can’t we beat Sydney, just what the heck is going on. I mean we have the best ruckman and midfield in the comp and we lose the centre clearances every week. I can’t blame Goodwin for that one, Langdon should kick a goal from 15m out. This is why we are never taken seriously, because we are given the chance to stand up and never do, we always lose the games that we should win especially in a context like this. I am shattered.
  19. Absolutely shocking, I’m disgusted, basics have gone out the window. Usually a goalless quarter means a loss for us. Better respond in Q3.
  20. This is shocking, this is why we can never trust this team, we aren’t going inside 50 with any composure.
  21. I really hope chronic nervousness can be resolved, why am I never confident going into a game. I have no reason to be nervous and yet still I can't see us getting over the line. MFCSS is debilitating!! In all seriousness, I generally like the changes and think the team is in relatively good form. The four day break combined with some possible humid/hot weather might play a part but considering sydney are on the same level, no excuses can be made. Come on dees!
  22. Let's just hope a perth club doesnt snap him up five years from now. said this in the post game thread but he definitely reminds me of trav johnstone, good disposal and great composure for a first year player.
  23. Outs: Kozzie, Hibbo (inj), jones, hannan Ins: Bedford, Lockart, jetta, fritsch Kozzie really did nothing, he's going to be a star but he is still developing and will need some time before he can be consistent. Even then, being a first year player in a fairly rapid year i think it might be good for him to have a rest. Bedford is not getting enough love on here either, thought he was really good round 1 and deserves another shot at it. Jetta could also be a big chance for hibbo or jones. Spargo could come out for Corey Wagner but as some have mentioned, I think spargo did enough to keep his spot. Does anyone know how Marty Hore is tracking?, was really good last year and should definitely come in this week if hes ready to go.
  24. Does a Collingwood win help or hurt us, i know we should take our destiny into our own hands but in terms of the ladder, is this good for us?
  25. Very true, should have written successor instead. Obviously Melbourne winning has impaired my use of Grammar!
