B) A neutral Journo who studies all clubs, players and trades, AND whose livelihood depends on them being good at their job, being untruthful on purpose. really happy the boys at the dees supported jesse throughout this whole ordeal. If jones and co. had acted the way tex walker acted when Lever wanted to leave then we would be f'ed. I think he does probably play smaller, but that can change. One of his apparent attributes are his athleticism, so not sure where you getting the slow turn of foot from. According to articles and his bio's he is a really nice kick... it's meant to be his best attribute. This kid is good, GWS signed him for another 2 years, but they don't have the cap space. They are leaking players to stay within the cap and the rest of the league has a chance to benefit. If we can get him for a 4th or 5th round pick it would be a massive win. Only downside would be how much he is on, we wouldn't want him eating up too much of our cap space.

He is tall enough to become a key back, needs to get stronger. But is bigger than alex rance. Also we have 10 spots on our list. So we need to bring in player outside those 3 needs.

Yeah he's different, but the more options we have, the more likely we will find a combination that works. As far as i know, there is no other powerful key defender on the market besides May. I haven't watched him much, but from what i've read he is actually a good kick. Also being 22, he could be a project player, rather than an instant best 22.

92kg, 196cm, 22 years old. Fast, can play forward or back. Avaliable from GWS, was tipped to go to north however they landed pittard instead. A good option if we do not end up landing May.

I am of the belief our top 20 pick themselves week in week out. We have amazing young and old leaders, and a coach that has the players hearts. I say our core group is very strong and will see us play finals for the next 4 years at least. Edit: i said 6 years, but that is probably too far into the future.

I'm of the opinion that when you have a really strong core group, you are then in a position to take some risks with the last 2 spots on the list. If i was a club down the bottom of the list, or a club without strong leadership i would never want a troubled player. But look, you could well be right. It would really depend on Bennell's mindset, and whether or not has grown up, which we can never know.

I put forward points of view with the understanding that i may be wrong, and an understanding that nobody can actually know for sure if Bennell would work, or if May would work, or how playing 3 talls would work. I think you forget your opinions are not facts. (take a leaf out of @P-man's book, he/she knows how to have a discussion with someone of opposing opinions)

Fair enough, i guess we differ on that point. I just think with the leaders we have at the club now that he couldn't do any damage; Like i couldn't see a new draftee going off the rails with Bennell whilst the likes of Gawn, Jones, Oliver and Viney are around. Plus i think Bennell would walk into the club with his tail between his legs, rather than full of youthful cockiness. Of course, none of us actually know Harley or his current mind-state, intentions or values.
