  1. Playing in Tassie? They have been the non destination club for the last 10 years - like a pub with no beer, no point in staying
  2. Apparently I went to the Olympic boxing in 1956 as a babe in arms so my first game was probably 1957. The game I can obviously date is the 64 GF. Jimmy running over the mark was a shock. My sister and I were absolutely stunned. We sat in the car for 30 minutes listening to the radio. Luckily they announced that S Spencer and Derryn Hinch!!!!! had gone to the umpires rooms to remonstrate. We started to laugh and drove home; and i have told this one before but in the Dark (Neeld) Ages I went to a preseason game, and purchased a pie just before the first bounce. Before I had finished the pie I had come to the correct conclusion that the season was over. Probably not the best game, but certainly one of the happier ones, Jeff Farmer kicking 9. I had my 6yr old with me and his best mate, who insisted we sit in the back row of the top deck of the Southern stand. As jeff progressed even the Pie supporters where out of their seats.
  3. Great summary by the HUN; we are targetting no one....
  4. Thanks for this excellent report. What an indictment of player development at the club. The only player that seems to have improved since February is Harrison Petty. 😁 And I cant resist but has Fritta become any more talkative? And can you check your training archives for that early Roos training session where Fitzpatrick? attempted to kick and missed the ball. That would be a good read.
  5. Who do we play on Tuohy? (I would nominate myself but the hammies are a touch tight)
  6. Cheap as in he pays us? He moves slower than I do when getting up to pay the bar bill.
  7. Certainly the best TEAM I have seen. Defence and on ball division, and interchange for that matter, the best. Forward line, no, and wingers....Robbie is a hard act to follow.....
  8. Remember, car broke down.... Nice goal by Hannan....
  9. Unfortunately it didnt work with TMc...
  10. 6. Oliver 5. Brayshaw 4. Gawn 3. Langdon 2. Fritsch 1. Petracca
  11. Trac must have heard my sons comment on how inept he had been at times coz he then kicked 2.!!!!! I am amazed at how loosely they play on him (Trac, not my son). And could someone tell me where do I find the "Do anything you like to Viney" in the rule book?
  12. He is very versatile and creative with the use of crutches.
  13. Is it too early to have a drinkie to calm the nerves? Go Dees.
  14. He promised to get it right next time?
  15. Angkor? Perhaps not. What i am trying to suggest is that the influence (and mouth) of the father can be a major distraction (Moore, West come to mind). Previously the son came at a discount but with the points system you have to pay market value and the benefit now is you do not have to go though the lottery of the draft. I worked with a chap who was briefly on the Collingwood list in the early 80's. Wes Fellowes was starting out and his father Graeme was at training all the time, yelling instructions, calling him over to the boundary etc. Lets just say that this did not improve Wes's standing with the playing group. Then again Wes did win a Dopeland trophy.
  16. I don't mind the sons at all, it is the fathers banging on in social media or training from the over the fence that could be a worry.
