POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Fritta and Turner replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
No. After what I had drunk (to calm the nerves) storming was not an option. I did let out my best plaintive Aw C'mon Dees. I will confess to saying to the Mrs when Angus was having that shot on goal 'Get ready to catch this'. -
or more likely who Casey was....

Even I could see that Fritta had AFL potential. Sounds like just an excuse. If he was hidden it was in plain sight. Perhaps he had some baggage. Can i say that I was amazed that a player of this caliber was still available so late in the draft (usually means you have picked a stinker).

It's the little things that make the whole

Relief. Gratitude. And with modern media there are so many ways to relive the moment. -

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Fritta and Turner replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
If memory serves me correctly I think Bob Rose said when the Pies finally saluted in 1990 : Is this it? Thats not me. So happy from when ANB kicked us to a 42 point lead. Party party party. Extended family on Whatsup or what ever went delerious. My last thoughts at night are game higlights and guess what I am thinking of when I get up. Feel great towards all past players and the MFC family. Though I have stopped yelling PETRACCA. -

Even more disrespectful if you confuse Patrick with his brother Tom? Agree on the gloating though.... -
Picks 22, 30, 32, 34 and 41......someone needs to tell Wells thats not the age of the players you have to pick.

Saturday Morning on Demonland (2)
Fritta and Turner replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well I would be looking for growth in the current team so Bowey, Petty, Sparrow, Jackson and Kozzie hopefully can get even better. But where is our next debutante? Hard to show your wares without the VFL. -

When he was not commentating you could hear him moan/groan in the background - called the result before I did in the last. -
What The List Managers Really Said
Fritta and Turner replied to Demonstone's topic in Melbourne Demons
This was too good to be published in one post. Like AFL trade period it should have been systematically released over a week. -
Who would have thunk it. Here we are worried about a young star going home interstate and guess what, he brings home to melbourne instead. To see Lukes mum absolutely ecstatic and dressed in complete red and blue says volumes. Just between you and me I think Luke may have told his mum what a great place the MFC is at the moment. How the heck did we do that?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JAKE BOWEY
Fritta and Turner replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I have been watching a replay of Rnd 23 vs Cats ( because I can ok). It is character building. 2nd quarter Bowey gets stripped of the ball in a Danger tackle and they both go to ground. Bowey gets up immediately and runs to the next contest which turns into a stoppage. Danger is still on the ground. Danger is obviously a better player than Bowey but there is much to be said for the reflexes and attitude of youth. -
My merch from the MFC shop, ordered 27/9 was shipped this morning.

Dont know if this is the longest but Jock McHale coached the 1936 premiers and retired at the end of 1949 season.
