  1. Yes he is actively involved and he has empowered his assistant coaches. The assistants do most of the instructiing of individual players. Certainly more hands on than his predecessor but then this is his first year. Certainly everyone is expected to turn up and look and act the part. Today he stood chatting with Viney during the warm up drills. A couple of weeks back he was first out with his son having a kick to kick. I have also seen him putting out the cones.
  2. As I exited Richmond station and was walking towards Punt Rd a woman asked me what bus do you catch to the MCG? Was keen to answer 31 but..... One thing I have noticed about training this year is that the coaches are setup and in position well before the players hit the track. Very strong wind blowing across the ground. TMc first out with the Roo. Absent White, McAdam, Bowey and May. (Ghosty still on holidays) Henderson not wearing a rehab outfit and got a massive cheer from the squad as he ran past the group. Viney and Campbell in rehab tops; Viney watched on and Campbell walked. Everyone else in training gear. Vineys brother conducted a wrestling/grappling drill. They do look alike. CJ had some strange velcro bandage? on his leg for a very short time. CJ, Kentfield, Petty, AMW, Melky, Steele, Salem sometimes ran the boundary Rivers had some minor discussion with a trainer and did some extra drills. Ed did some weird stretching exercise in the goal square which turned out to be 'watering the sands...' Tom Matthews took part. Chappy yelling out positioning advice to XT during a sim. Fritta played like his opponent was Easton Wood. Kossie is so good sometimes I reckon he should not participate in some of the sims. Jeffo looking better and better at each training session. Playing with confidence. As the kids are back at school the track watchers have a veteran look about them.
  3. South Side - closer to my place. Probably an easier build North Side - better commercially as it is visible from Caulfield Station. Also there are existing tunnels
  4. I thought the MRC didnt want us on the North side as they want to move the GlassHouse pokies venue there.?
  5. Glad that you asked. I get the impression that the government would like everyone to be supportive when an announcement is made, and one of them isnt at the moment. I believe that is the MRC. More talks were scheduled for later this week, so it is still in progress.
  6. Wednesday at Goschs is the schedule
  7. Self belief. And the Dogs didnt have that.
  8. If you want to be insulated from the noise what are you doing on Demonland?
  9. Really Bomberblitz? That we no longer have P&O onboard I think says the opposite.
  10. Berry first out on the park followed by the Coach with some unknown, which turned out to be his son, Oscar. Participated in many of the drills, including kick to kick with dad. All present except for Rivers and Petty. Bowey arrived late and was watching on. Obviously has a sore foot. TC in a serious neck brace and walked the boundary at a gentle pace. Viney headed back to the sheds after an hour, pursued by autograph hunters. Laurie had the no contact hat on but did not seem to be troubled by his hand. Max also with the finger guard has become adept at marking one handed. Sharpie running like a gazelle. So much for a hammy. Maysie running laps, moving better than previous weeks, building condition. Mihocek looks ready to go to me. Salo did not have that 'groin niggle' from last Wednesday. I liked the defenders drill, two on one where you block an opponent so that a team mate can get a clear run. 200+ spectators in attendance.
  11. Pack has arrived - scarf and stickers
  12. True, but at least he stands out
  13. According to Australia Post my membership pack is on its way.
  14. He has to retire at some stage. BTW Pipefitter, I think you look very smart in that hat.
  15. btw XLs nickname, X, is pronounced eck. and I reckon that Sharpie can run quicker with a hammy than I have ever run.
  16. if thats LN snag then I hope not....
  17. Went early as I had to leave early. When I arrived at 9:10 players were already out, some doing a beep test. Berry struggling. 3 players I didnt see - Bowey, Laurie and Campbell - though Campbell turned up late. And so did Ghosty for that matter. Miohcek has had a hair cut. McAdam and Henderson on the bikes and in rehab kit. Everyone else in full training kit. Rehab, and by this I mean they occassionally dropped out to do specialist drills - Miohcek, Viney, Gawn (finger) Sharpie (hammy) Onleys nickname is Ron Chin and Rick in good voice. Tom Mathews still looks small. Kossi and Salo had a good stretch with the trainer before starting. AJ had some magic ointment on the back. I dont think anyone would be surprised that we are practising fast, continuous, ball movement. Left early.
  18. Puts a completely different perspective on tunneling. Still a free kick to the MRC?
  19. Well if the track has to be dug up to build a tunnel then the MRC may have something to say about that.
  20. Will pick those who actually want to play for the team
  21. Like who? apart from Brad Green who has been there since 2020 I would say the average tennure of the current board is about 2 years
  22. We are not tied to the Mt Scopus development but there would be a stronger case for developing community sporting facilites in the centre of the course if the school goes ahead.
  23. As we want to build on crown land there is no point in antagonising the government.
