Bless him!

I'll tell you 2 facts about Mitch Clarke 1. If he stays with us, he will re injure himself in his first game back, re triggering his depression, and retire permanently 2. If he goes to Collingwood, he will return to full health, fitness and per injury form, and team up with Cloke to make a potent and much envied forward line. Let me tell you, nothing is more certain. My opinion though the week has oscillated, feeling ok once it was suggested, that we were actually in control of what was playing out, but since finding out he spoke with collingwood before having the courtesy to see Roos, my opinion of him has plummeted. Not ok. While I'm at it, did you hear that paddy Ryder is apparently going to not Brisbane but Sydney? (sen) Now I'm glad that essendon look like they will lose him, (they still haven't received punishment that really hurts), but if if this rumour is true, footy is the loser and the afl needs to adjust their FA rules, now. Top 4 teams not able to access Free agents of that year. That would be a start. Even though it would be fun to see Eddie spluttering with indignation! Last thing, now I hear on 3aw that we are certain to sign Goodwin for 5 yrs guarantee e succession, as others have said, and what if Clarkson is available??? And we offered pick 2 and 2 quality players for danger field, and Adelaide told us we're dreaming. Happy days. hopefully all this rumour will turn out to be only that, and I should get a life and stop listening to this lowbrow crap. Ok, back to my assignment...

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
KLV replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
I have the same dilemma, but you offer a good solution DA, also I like the scenario of Ess doing ok this year and then failing miserably next year under their golden boy. Schadenfreude? You bet! -
And Rolf wearing the St Kev's blazer?
-
If our compensation pick is pick 3 just wait for all the outrage from the other clubs. I've already heard hawthorn people spluttering that how can frawley be worth pick 3 when all they got for Franklin was pick 19. They just don't get it, want their cake and to eat it too. Gives me the you know whats.

I agree with this, the "leaking" of information is no accident.

I can't download it, what did he say? What on earth could he have said?
-
If he was still playing for us, he would still be sub par

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

My sentiments exactly. I heard a bit of KBs show tis morning in the car, Greg Denin summed it up thie way: 1. Hird has an ego unsurpassed in magnitude 2. Essendon are now a more hated club than collingwood And 3. This court case was for nothing more than rich boys playing games I know he dehnem has given us grief over the years, but one thing you can say for him, he's not afraid to call it as he sees it. The vast majority of those in the media are sychophantic to the point of inducing severe nausea. -
4 days and 50 years ago from this superb win, I was born. A demon supporter ever since, but only from 10 or 11 years of age, once my dad had stopped playing amateurs and we started going regularly to games, do I remember the interest and passion emerging. And by that time we were a struggling team. So, I'm not quite old enough to remember the glory days. Really enjoying reading your contributions WJ of a season, the nature of which is completely unfamiliar to me!

Will never happen, would lose every cent of state/federal funding -
This sounds plausible, as do the comments made by others, indicating the Roos' comments were strategic. Name the elephant in the room. At the same time, however, I'm dismayed he brought it up, after hearing caro metaphorically rubbing her hands together with glee on 3aw tonight. According to her, which by the way, was backed up by that d'head Dwayne, not only did we tank, " we did it badly" obviously more despicable than those that did it well, - didn't get caught.
-
Now, he has a woeful team and he is hopefully laying the foundations to make them a great one. I really do hope that this talk at the start about how 'the worse it sounded, the more interested I got' wasn't for a soundbite because as any "long term supporter of this club" knows, it really was that bad last year.
-
That's why we shouldn't let him go, he would be an absolute star in a good team
-
I thought it was a joke
-
I'll take that as a no then
-
Malthouse seems to think he should retire, while "he still has something left in the tank". Would we want him at MFC? Would he be interested? Could it happen? Didn't he promise his Nanna he would play for the dees?
-
Michael Andrews strong dee supporter.
-
Peter King, MCC first XI cricketer for many years, loyal demon.
-
“Tom Mitchell used to live with (Melbourne coach Paul) Roos and he can’t get a game with the Swans at the moment. Could the Dees do an exchange with Frawley?” Sheahan posed. Lifted from HS summary of Monday night footy shows, - "on the couch"

Patrick smith has written he sat down with an essendon official some time ago, who admitted they know who the "essendon mother" is and have talked with her. Robbo tweeted last night: " who do you believe patrick smith of the EFC?" KB tweeted in response "pat smith!" BTW I'm on holidays, got time on my hands! -
Very good
