I would have thought bringing in two sponsors during COVID is quite impressive given the current mess the economy is in. What in particular are you upset with? The fact that memberships are down during a time fans can't attend games? Financials will take a hit in a year we don't get dollars from attendances? You can't just hit without giving specific examples. -
I thought I read that our ruck coach Greg Stafford was also our goal kicking coach. Greg kicked 141 Goals and 66 Behinds in 204 Games.

There's something NQR about this article. It sounds like they haven't actually got the information from the horses mouth (the club). There's this line: "The club was contacted for an update on Wednesday." ------------ usually the line written by a news agency when a subject is contacted for a comment but no answer was given or they declined to answer or couldn't be contacted. Obviously the article doesn't state if they received a response but but it's certainly implied that there was no verification for any of my stated reasons. This was followed by "In other injury news, the club confirmed earlier in the day that Harley Bennell has suffered another low-grade calf strain." ------------ By saying "the club confirmed earlier in the day" it validates my theory that the club was contacted later in the day by AFL.com.au about Vanders and co but they received no response. Therefore I believe that the AFL.com.au article is not based on actual information from the Melbourne Football Club. Why the silence from the MFC? And why the article based on little or no facts from the AFL?

I don't often agree with Cornes in fact we have a saying in my household; "Always bet on the guy that Kane Cornes picks against". In this case he is spot on. Particularly when he is talking about this stupid Pre Season Doco. Whoever signed off on this should be sacked. I couldn't give a rats how good the quality of the video is with the slow mo and the close ups and the inspirational music. The fact is we haven't COME BACK FROM ANYWHERE. TO HELL AND BACK. Where is the back in this narrative? If we win the [censored] lot this year then by all means make you doco with slow mo and inspirational music but until then do all your talking on the footy field. I agree with your sentiment. It's fantastic that the Dees have been aggressive in their FD staff signings, trades & drafting. Unfortunately the proof is going to be in the pudding. If we dish up 2019 performances (injuries or no injuries - especially if no injuries) in 2020 then it's best you stay away from this forum and other social media because the proverbial will hit the [censored] fan.

The forward line is less functional without Melk. He also had an injury interrupted preseason and it's no coincidence that our form suffered when he was injured.
The Saints have to play hard ball re: Hill because they can’t give up 2 first round picks (even though they’ve shot themselves in the foot with their contract offer). They’re going to need the 2020 first round and 2021 first round pick to get King from the Suns next year. They can’t keep Bruce this year because they can’t offer him more than 1 year because King will be taking his position in 2021.
