  1. I agree. He has just had a child and I heard that his partner is from interstate so it's not out of the realm of possibility that they would want to move back home at some stage. Unfortunately that is the risk you are always going to face when drafting interstate players but you can't just build a team of all local players.
  2. Are the media just perusing a list of our centre bounce attendees to come up with stories.
  3. If there’s really nothing going on, then why hasn’t Trac come out and simply said, "I'm not going anywhere"? The fanbase is in meltdown over a generational player who’s unhappy—just like the rest of us—with the club’s direction and how his injury has been handled. He has every right to be upset, and if he weren’t locked into a five-year contract, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d already left. The club put out a vague statement, essentially saying Trac is under contract, which politely suggests they intend to hold him to it. But what happens if he demands to go? If push comes to shove, I think we’d be forced to give in to his wishes. Our captain, normally the most confident bloke I've seen, gave the most uncertain reassurance I've seen that Trac isn’t going anywhere. Yes, the media and Morris thrive on clickbait, twisting stories to sell papers and generate clicks. But there’s clearly smoke here, and probably at least a brush fire. Can this be resolved? Possibly. Will he leave this year? Who knows? I get that Trac is unhappy—again, we all are—but if, as you say, there’s nothing to see here, why hasn’t he used his massive online platforms to make a statement? Maybe his silence is his statement. It could mean, "I’m not leaving, but I’m not happy, and until some changes are made, I’m staying silent." It’s all conjecture at this point. The real issue is that the fanbase is in meltdown. This isn’t just happening on Demonland; it’s all over Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp groups, and at the dinner table. We, as supporters, are key stakeholders. We pay our hard-earned money each year to keep the club’s coffers full. If you thought the stands were empty lately, imagine how they’ll look if we lose multiple A-grade players. Things could get ugly fast, and all the membership gains we’ve made over the last four years could be wiped out for another generation. We’re talking about a once-in-a-generation player here, and we could lose him because this club can’t get its act together. You might want to brush all these troubles under the carpet—issues that were evident in the preseason and have never gone away—but when stories like this come out, even from master click baiters like Morris, and the star player in question doesn’t immediately dismiss them and reaffirm his commitment to the club, it’s clear there’s a serious problem. As of writing this, Trac still hasn’t done so, despite having plenty of opportunities. Therefore, supporters have every right to discuss this and not be swept under the rug.
  4. So basically the Family Day has been canned. We have a scratch match every year and there are usually kids holiday programs anyway and open training sessions aimed at kids.
  5. We’re currently negotiating with his good foot at this very moment.
  6. Clever tactic by the Blues. Not playing Silvagni might entice us not to play a third tall down back. Well played Vossy.
  7. Questions must be asked why we put him back on the ground in a dead rubber. Understand that the scan is precautionary but shouldn't the first precaution have been not to make it worse. So very Melbourne. FMD.
  8. Would be interested to get the panels take on Salem's game this week and I guess an overall take on his form since his return from injury since the Port Adelaide game. I thought his first 3 quarters were terrible. He couldn't get his hands on the pill. To his credit he lifted his game in the last. Taking away the emotion and my love for the guy and all of his past contributions and the memory of his exceptional first half in the Granny I would even say he could be on the verge of needing a spell to find form. However we are at the pointy end of the season and with Bowey possibly injured and Hibbo possibly returning from concussion and very little game time in the past month or so I don't think we can afford to do that. Plus we do know what he is capable of and I hope he can turn it around on the fly. Love the podcast, thank you, and keep up the great job guys. Some exciting times ahead.
  9. Would be interested to know if Binman still thinks we are favourites for the flag. I thought we were beaten by a team that was a lot hungrier than we were tonight with 3/4s of their starting midfield out.

  11. With Clarry on the brink of his long awaited return I honestly think that James Harmes has played his last game of footy for the Demons. Is there a role for Harmsey going forward?
  12. Thanks for another great podcast guys. Subscribed to the YouTube channel. Love the artwork used in the video changing depending on who is talking. Well done.
  13. New poster posting this with their first post is certainly not the same guy selling this.
  14. Looking forward to another stellar podcast from you gents. My question tonight is; Given Max's incredible solo performances in the Ruck over the past few weeks and Petty and JVR's 10 goal one two punch as tall forwards where does that leave Brodie Grundy. Is there a role for him this season as either a backup ruck to Max or as the 3rd tall in the forwards line.
  15. The Tigers worry me a little bit. Early in the year I was hoping that this return game against them would be a cakewalk as their season would be in tatters by now. Now for the second week in a row we're playing against a team with their season on the line and a sniff of finals. Whilst I would love to end their season I don't think we will have an easy task of it. What do we need to do to put them out of their misery. Love the Podcast and I'll take my answer off the air.
  16. Trac’s forays up forward have really paid off in the past two weeks. 8 goals 2, 46 possessions, 26 contested, 8 marks, 9 tackles. Do you think we will see Petracca played in the same manner for the rest of the season in a Dusty of old like role?
  17. @binman - depending on what happens tonight I may or may not be bringing up these stats in the Podcast Thread so be warned. :)
  18. My wife is making her season 2023 debut at the footy this Friday and joining me at the President's Lunch (dinner?). She has a 100% win record at the footy but if we lose there is another person we can blame.
  19. Top podcast again this week fellas. I like Angry Binners.
  20. I'd say it was a big concern. Despite the Saints only having two on the Bench for most to the match they won the Inside 50 count by 6, Overall Possessions by 26, Contested Possession by 8 and despite winning the Hitouts by 21 we broke even at the Stoppages. Imagine what would have happened if those 3 Saints players didn't go down and they weren't wasteful in their possession and timid in taking the game on. I'll absolutely take the 4 points and there were some minor improvements in our game but we were by no means impressive considering the carnage on the Saints bench.
  21. 6 May 5 Jordon 4 Viney 3 Petracca 2 Salem 1 Sparrow
  22. Selection will be interesting this week. If Petty returns as a permanent forward this week against the Giants will the Dees bring back Adam Tomlinson into the side after he was unceremoniously dumped after his great Kings Birthday showing so that we retain the 3 genuine talls in defence? Or could we see Ben Brown make a triumphant return as a good showing in the 2s?
  23. The Cats have a number of tall defenders but could that work in our favour with our smaller forward line?
  24. Can we take anything away from a game like this against an opposition like Hawthorn?
  25. We had the luxury this week to experiment with a lot of different players running through the midfield. Do any of you have the stats ie: % of time in the midfield?
