  1. There is no way Hawthorn gets close to the Bulldogs. This is the team that lost to Adelaide. Bulldogs will crush them. Freo on the other hand are playing with pride and will relish the opportunity to effect the Final 8. Not saying they’ll knock the bulldogs off but they won’t roll over.
  2. She’ll probably have you working to build the border wall.
  3. Agreed. They should just give us an extra public holiday next year in the long period between Anzac Day & Queen’s Birthday or QB & Grand Final Eve.
  4. This would not surprise me one bit. Hi Glen.
  5. Yappy as always and has a clear axe to grind with Wilson and Peter Jackson. Seems to dislike Jackson alot based on previous postings. Very quick to come to the defence of Bartlett and always posts to gloat when the Dees win. Silent when we lose. Also has no problem name calling dyed-in-the-wool supporters when they don't tow the party line.
  6. Didn't he just get dropped from an underperforming GWS? Sign him up he'll fit right in.
  7. They had the pre-season injury excuse last year and this year it will be COVID. Everyone keeps their jobs. We need strong leadership and sadly we are lacking it in all aspects of the club from the top down and sideways.
  8. This is not the first time you have posted about Peter Jackson being a false messiah. C'mon. Spill the beans.
  9. The coach has to go because he can't get the players mentally prepared or prepared for the conditions. Two weeks in a row. BUT the blame also has to sit with the players. Mentally weak and did not turn up to play until halfway through the last quarter. Pathetic.
  10. I would have a some level of sympathy for the Cotchins if it hasn't been posted by her on Social Media.
  11. Tonight at Adelaide Oval. Get your [censored] together Victorians. Wear a [censored] mask. I want to go back to the footy.
  12. It has to come out at some point like it did today so whilst I understand that reasoning it's made redundant once the story comes out. Why not mention it in Burgo's injury report yesterday considering they have it all over social media and their website today?
  13. I don't get the secrecy here. Maybe from a tactical perspective. Not taking anything away from AVB because he's tough as nails and would genuinely frighten opposition with him on your tail but tactically it's not like hiding an injury to a Max or Clarry or Trac or key position forward. I doubt it would change Brisbane's tactics one iota. Again no disrespect to vanders. For me the omission from Burgess makes me doubt any of the information he gives out in the videos. Don't get me wrong Burgo could be the greatest thing that has happened to this club. Omissions like this have been a running theme from the club for years, probably all clubs but I only care about this one. If injuries are so top secret why even provide these video updates and if they're not telling the whole truth which is evident here based on the intel in the OP how can we truly trust anything that is posted by the club. Providing content is great but if you can't be honest for tactical reasons then don't release a clip saying we got through the match unscathed when a blokes had his cheek split in three places.
  14. I strongly suspect that this was one time that Goody's plan worked over Jennings plan.
  15. If you are just referring to the football department part of things then he's only been here for 1 season and 4 games. 2019 was theorised to be an aberration by the wider AFL community and internally the off-season surgeries were the reason for the impact. So far we are 4 games into a season that is just [censored] up and can't be compared to any season in terms of the impact it has had on individuals and the club, on field and off field and the Dees have copped the brunt of it with the season getting canned prior to Rd 1, Rd 3 getting postponed. Rd 5 having match changed. Yes the FD & the game plan appears to be in a mess and the footy part of the club has appeared to have stalled but it appears you are advocating that Pert do something 4 games into the season by sacking the coach in which the payment would [censored] the club up even more financially and then you'd cry that he [censored] the club up financially.
  16. I would have thought bringing in two sponsors during COVID is quite impressive given the current mess the economy is in. What in particular are you upset with? The fact that memberships are down during a time fans can't attend games? Financials will take a hit in a year we don't get dollars from attendances? You can't just hit without giving specific examples.
  17. I thought I read that our ruck coach Greg Stafford was also our goal kicking coach. Greg kicked 141 Goals and 66 Behinds in 204 Games.
  18. There's something NQR about this article. It sounds like they haven't actually got the information from the horses mouth (the club). There's this line: "The club was contacted for an update on Wednesday." ------------ usually the line written by a news agency when a subject is contacted for a comment but no answer was given or they declined to answer or couldn't be contacted. Obviously the article doesn't state if they received a response but but it's certainly implied that there was no verification for any of my stated reasons. This was followed by "In other injury news, the club confirmed earlier in the day that Harley Bennell has suffered another low-grade calf strain." ------------ By saying "the club confirmed earlier in the day" it validates my theory that the club was contacted later in the day by AFL.com.au about Vanders and co but they received no response. Therefore I believe that the AFL.com.au article is not based on actual information from the Melbourne Football Club. Why the silence from the MFC? And why the article based on little or no facts from the AFL?
  19. Is this Goodwin's "Try Bayley Fritsch in a position he is not best suited for" move for 2020?
  20. He's not wrong. Only about the sorely missed. Nibbler was hardly sighted last year.
  21. Unfortunately he's just as likely to finish out the game with a bag of ice glad wrapped to his hammy.
