Serious issues? Haven't you ever stumbled out of a club at 4am. Hell on Saturday I stumbled out at 6am. Someone started me a few weeks ago and I had a blue with the bloke. These things happen in life boys and girls. People get drunk, get stupid get angry. He has done the violence thing one to many times but that doesn't mean he has a problem with the drink, if he has "serious issues" get me to a rehab clinic quick.

Let him learn the game on the big stage before you throw him the job of leading an entire team in such a scrutinsed sport. He wont handle the pressure, not yet. He is going to be fantastic, a superstar!! Going to be. From what I said above in this thread. Mmclean is still a kid. Needs to learn the game before he can captain.

Did you notice how every smart football brain of people who have played. Legends all think what Neitz did was ok? Jonathon Brown on the radio totally gets why he didn't shake his hand and says it bugs him when players do it. After the game is fair game, the start is a battle. I personally know I HATE players who try to shake before the game. However the one time I actually did shake the blokes hand from the countless times they tried I was best on...... Not because of good sportsmanship but because I was so [censored] off that this lil girl wanted to shake my hand and wish his direct opponent luck that I smashed him all day and constantly started him. Nothing worse than shaking hands before the game. I think if you look at the replay also you will see Neitz went straight to Maxwell and shook his hand and spoke with him. AFTER the game, where that stuff belongs.

How can you say that ROBBO is more of a team man than Green. No one is out for number 1 more than Robbo, he does not always put in, he dives for free kicks he can kick 5 one week and the next have his mind set on a speccie rather than getting a strong mark and goal. None of thos 4 should be the next captain. So who else? People will throw Mac in. Our best players would be 2nd round draft picks. Lets trade them for possible Nick Smith, Luke Molan, Steven Armstrong, Aaron Rodgers, Michael Clark. What is the point of mca for a year if ur gonna put Green in anyway? Green has been pure guts this year running with the flight of the ball, start rumbles on the ground to amp himself up. He has been one of the few performers. Mclean this Mclean that. Lets give him a few years to learn the game. At least Green knows it and can concentrate on the team. With no Football operations manager and no current coach. Whoever the new coach is they will be able to really have their input into the list next year, into changes (de-listings and trades) and drafting.

From watching over the under 18's you can see it hasn't got the same talent pool it had last year. However it does not mean there wont be some diamonds in the seemingly rough.

Both will be much cheaper next year and can be used as depth. They will not be on that much if they come back then they are good enough for depth. You can justify they aren't worth that much cause they aren't and if they were on that much for a year or 2 more then you would be doing anything to get rid of them. However they will not be on that much NEXT year. It's totally different when its a much lower number.

I admit alot of kids have played for the pies and its goo that they did so well, this will be it for the year but they did surpass expectation. Yze was dropped, came back found some form, got hurt again and decided on season ending surgery. Not aloud to bag Jones. Thats not on. His hospital punt is one of the few players in the league who still kicks long, which I love.

Mclean should not be captain next year. Either should Neitz. Jones maybe one day but not yet either. Its just got to be Brad Green. I reckon he tried his guts out on friday. Took some classic running with flight marks. Smooth kicking ability. Had an amazing 2 on 1 situation where he dominated with hard tackling. He gave alot. Ive said for years Green is so important to this side and I think on friday he stepped up when others lacked. Brad Green for captain in 2008. In two or three years welcome captain Jones.
