Are these players going to get a game this year or does bodes elevation rule them out?
-
If Melbourne trade anything which they prob should. They will not trade (against popular belief on here) your Bruce, Green, Carrol, T Johnstone etc. They will only trade draft picks and fringe players. Rest assure Melbourne will not take Hawthorn route, they believe they can bounce back quick, so good players will not be traded. That is unless a Judd becomes available. And thats a big UNLESS. Expect pick 20 to be traded somewhere.
-
Its not just Miller in the deal. Pick 20 as well. Top 2nd round pick and a decent player. Also the reason for the love affair with Murphy Jacey is that he is only 22 and its hard to set the world on fire with Pavlich, Tarrant and him in the forward line.
-
You would find alot of other clubs might like a Brad MIller. Alot of people from Richmond said, why would you want a David Rodan. He is re-invigorated. Miller is seen by other clubs as a player down on form still, not bad. Teams would def take a punt on a tough key position player, always.
-
I don't know exactly what would be needed but I think freo would take a punt on Miller. a 2nd round pick like 20 and Miller would make them think, but of course we may have to wheel and deal a bit to sweeten it for freo.

I recently saw in another thread the idea of someone which I considered pure GENIUS. Trading Our number 20 pick and possibly Brad Miller for Fremantles Ryan Murphy. I got so excited by the prospect of this 196cm Full Forward coming to Melbourne I just had to see what others thought. With Pavlich and Tarrant Freo have no major need for a 3rd key position Full Forward and would be willing to part for a 2nd round pick and a fringe player. This 22 year old Strong player is mobile, tough, young, skillful and most importantly the answer to when Neitz retires. With Newton at CHF. Or hell Newton Full Forward and Murhpy CHF, both could play either. I know this probably will not happen asit has not been mentioned but I think it would be the pick up of the off-season. A fully developed first round draft pick in Murphy would be fantastic.

We have to make some sort of trade. I remember at the end of trade period last year my older brother said, we will win about 4 games next year. I said why? He replied, you have always got to make a change. At least one.
-
Ive been constantly mad at Davey over the years for being weak. But trade him? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. People are a little bit brain dead arent they? One of the few on this team with skill.
-
He is my main example yes. Wouldn't get a game anywhere else in the league. You def can't win a premiership with him the side. So yes, Goddy is to blame. P.S dont like Goddy.

I really think we need to wait. First off if Neitz plays next year and isn't captain, he will still be captain. Lloyd is captain of Bombers, Vandenberg captain of Hawks. Hird is still really the captain of the bombers. He is the real leader, crawford to a lesser extent but still there. To name someone else next year is pointless cause Neitz will still be captain deep down in every players mind. Plus I think we should hold off on Brock. Because Jones is looking like a true midfield leader, no nonsense, no stupid free kicks, no whinging, just hard football. Rivers is much the same and leadership pours from him and McLean. I think leave Neitz in and decide on captain the year after. Mclean, Jones or Rivers. (Because Jones is so young he should be a deputy.)
-
Jones, Bate, Sylvia, Bell and Mclean are still seen as youth developing but yes they are recongnised in best 22. But I strongly agree that players like Godfrey, Brown should not be in this 22, to be honest I don't think they should be in any 22. Lets hope Frawley gets back so Fergie can go, Dunn should come in for brown, and CJ should come in for Godfrey, the fact Godfrey has not missed a single game this year screams why we are where we are on the ladder. Yes Warnock and Bode should play, I don't know who to take out, I think Pickett and Ward should stay in, perhaps drop Ward for Bode. Don't know who for Warnock.

Sheedy, Viney Hopefully Sheedy with Viney understudy.
-
That won't happen, what everyone else thinks and what is fact will be quite different. They will not trade Cameron Bruce.
-
Bruce Green and Rivers would be our best players, with Johnstone but he cannot lead. Bruce is better than Green but Green is a better leader. Mclean is awesome and is gonna be amazing but he can't be captain yet.

Has David Neitz reached the end of the road?

yep -
why?
-
I was captain because my team mates voted me in. Reasons were, 1. On-field hardness, leading by example, not rah-rah. 2. Loyalty to the club after deciding not to leave for another.

The coaching panel look at if the player did the specific job. STATS MEAN ZERO. If they did Godfrey would be driving the team bus. Bottom line is, look at whites' kicks, they are cheap kicks behind play when someone has kicked backwards. Joel Bowden got 18 marks once, easy to get alot of the footy when you have no man and are running behind play to get easy kicks. And by doing that your not accountable. Saw Everitt have to many marks up forward without a man. Even Dwayne Russel said at one point "well how does this happen, Everitt hasn't had a player all day"
-
I feel he lacks the skill level to be an elite footballer. Drops to many marks over head and the change in centre bounce rules a few years back ended the superstars super. He is now just a ruckmen.

BEST IDEA EVER

Yes in the WAFL. Played well too. He recently captained WA against the Big V (WAFL vs. VFL) Was my hero as a lad, very sad to see him retire.

Neitzy- Occasionally at Centre Half Back?

I don't know if I can see Neitz having the fitness to run a full game against a brown, riewoldt or lucas. But it is an interesting idea. -

We also lost 9 games in a row this year. This year doesn't mean a whole lot. The one thing I take from this year was watching Neita on practically one leg trying his heart out to play in Danihers last game. He is a hero and should be applauded. He does not hold us back, he shows the whole club what true leadership, loyalty and passion is all about. He has the Demon spirit. One of very few.
