Because he is an incrediblt talented player who would be amazing for us. If he was willing to do that you would have to want him in a heartbeat. Considering his only downfall was his desire. Don't be a moron, Sampi is a wiked player. Is not fat. Take a look at the demonology pics. Will Martin get a game..... In the rucks I would say White, Meesen, Jamar and PJ are ahead of him. Forwards Neitz, Robbo, Newton, Miller are ahead of him. Could we have rookied Martin?

Can't wait to be at the MCG, sitting in the MCC stand near the bench next season and screaming SAMPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When he kicks the exciting game defining goals.

Correct. I love Yze as he has been one of my definate favs for the last 10 years. About the time I started getting really serious about footy was Yzes start. So I love him and wish he could play for another 5 years. However he is soft, always has been, and when someone compares him as someone similar to Brad Green when it comes to putting your head over the pill, its just a joke. Green is one of our truest players. When it's on the line, we need someone to hit the game hard, I look at Brad Green on the MCG and think, come on Greeny, show us something, two minutes later he is going at the ball head first and getting a handball out to your Adem Yze. The goal of the Yze gets noticed. But in truth, was Greens hard work. Thats how it is with a player like Yze, will always receive in the big games. While Green will go get it.

Thanks Magic. Im not a member at demonology so I appreciate it. Things ive took from it. 1. Jones looks great. 2. Loving the sound of Meeson. 3. Hoping this stuff about Frawley putting on muscle is true, would have loved an image of it, I want to see how this future main backmen is developing. 4. Sampi doesn't look that big. I think it's been really over-done. He looks quite thin (big butt tho) 5. The new kids look like [censored] out there!

Agree about Carroll. I thought about that when writing but didn't mention it. All very well to say he was bad because we were. But then you could say he was only good in 2006 cause we were ok. Perhaps just a very mediocre player. I think Whelan may still have something for at least this coming season.

Over the past few years ive hated hated hated our backline. But I am now quite happy with it. Carroll: He may not be a monster but he does a very good job at what he is suppossed to do. He only looked so bad because the rest of the team sucked last year. Frawley: I didn't wants Frawls playing so much again this year but ive decided I want him out their all 22 games. Play him at CHB all season, I see him being a great backmen for us in the next 8 years. Bartram: What a little beauty he has been aye? We all love him. We all know he is a great guy. I met some blokes on schoolies a few years back who all played juniors and went to school with him. They all loved him and were so happy to see him shine as he was never the star of the club but always gave 100% for his mates. This is why we love Bartram and can't wait to see him for the next 10 years. Whelan: Wheels the Wrecker. Missed his toughness and passion last year but should slide right into the back pocket and dominate, as he always has. Bell: What a revelation, he took us by storm and basically in the absence of Rivers controlled the backline all season, we know he is a beauty, now he is stepping up and showing the league. Rivers: The MVP of our team, people outside of Melbourne fans just don't see how important he is, is everything to us. He is Bizzel at his prime at a younger age. Absolute superstar and who I want as captain, just stay injury free please. Petterd: Provides extremely good run out of the backline, can head forward but I like him on the back flank the most. A sweeping player for the future. Another classic CAC pick up. Didn't see him coming but wow, can the kid play. Then we have even more youth. Mcnamara, Cheney, Warknock, Garland (although I don't think he will make it in the end) Also we have other players I see making a name for themselves or pinch hitting in the backline. Green and Bruce can hit the back flanks. I think Morton will have time down their, Grimes could be suited to a back flanks. I would like to see Davey back their in a Burgoyne roll. Alot of plusses for our backline. I hope next years backline looks like this. Bell (run from backline) Carroll Whelan Bartram Frawley Rivers (sweeping role) I hope this is it in 2011. Bell Frawley Cheney Petterd Rivers Mcnamara

You have gotta love Grimes. He was a rabid Melbourne supporter according to Cameron.

I would hope we take Rioli over Dangerfield if he slips and pray that Dangerfield lasts to 21. Morton looks the likely number 4 but I would still rather Palmer. My ideal draft would be Pick 4: Palmer (I could deal with Morton, but he better come good) Pick 14: Rance/Rioli Pick 21: Dangerfield

I want Palmer, I do, I rate him highly. But I see an upside in Morton and know if the Tigers don't take him we will. So im accepting him and gearing up to love him. However, I still want Palmer. I want ball winners, Nathan Foley of Richmond seemingly had the same downfalls as what people say about Palmer, but a man who can win his own ball, bust through is extremely valuable, Jones and Brock are in and under, Bruce and Green are outside midfielders, this man goes in and under, gets it, then has space like abn outside midfielder, I really rate him. For some reason, and it isn't the hair, when I see him he reminds me of woey. Great effort with some skill to match, only I'll take it further, his skills are better than Woeys, so woey effort with more skill. Looks great to me.

I believe my Dad is going.... He is on a business trip to some country at the moment but I will find out when he gets back.
-
Id actually be estatic with Palmer. I really rate him, great outside mid who knows how to hit hard and win his own ball at the same time. Cotchin naturally is my top choice as I believe he will be the star out of the group, but considering he probably won't be around. I would love Palmer in the red and blue.

BOUND FOR SOMEWHERE ELSE - a Demonland Feature
Demons 32 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Why? Save them, they get stronger and then we are in the firing line. If it is true that the AFL is going to want a team in West Sydney as well on top of the Gold Coast move. I would want to seperate ourselves more from those clubs not help them. It's kill or be killed. The better the Roos do the closer they get to us. I say if your going to spend the money buy another Demons membership. I do, every year. My membership, and one for my girlfriend who doesn't even support us. Im already planning this year on buying her little sister, a very strong saints supporter, a junior membership. Why help another team? Charity starts at home. Get us right before we help someone else. -
Why forget Sampi? Amazing talent and will cost us practically nothing in a football sense.

You would have to see it as a huge threat now wouldn't you? I believe the A-League is definately starting to surpass Rugby (both codes) It is a nation wide league. All you have to do is look at attendances to realise as well. The crowds show up in the same numbers as the Rugby teams in NSW. Around 15,000-20,000. In Melbourne, the Victory attract a guaranteed 30,000+. With over 40,000 for big games involving Adelaide United and Sydney FC. However this is also the reason why a team like the Kangaroos are in so much trouble. The fact is, Melbourne Victorys attendance is higher than ours, dogs, kangas (with no other Melbourne clubs filling the holes. Of 30,000 there, guaranteed 25,000 are Victory supporters. They have taken off and become far more exciting and popular than the Storm have ever been. The fact they had more members in their 3rd year than the Kangaroos have is the perfect showing of why the Kangaroos must leave Victoria. -
BOUND FOR SOMEWHERE ELSE - a Demonland Feature

I believe the AFL do not need to kick out as many Melbourne clubs as possible. I am wanting this in 20 years. QLD (Brisbane, Gold Coast Roos) NSW (Sydney, West Sydney Bulldogs) SA (Port, Crows) WA (Eagles, Dockers) TAS (Hawks) MELB (Pies, Blues, Demons, Essendon, Richmond) Geelong in Geelong. The Gippsland Saints. I think Country Vic would be a great idea for a team. And Gippsland covers so many country towns and places. Could work a treat. -
I would like to see a switched on Sampi at the club. He is an amazing talent. But is one of those, if his head was right. People who making the liking to Pickett are wrong though. There are differences. Pickett cost us 300,000 a year and pick 22. Pickett was 28-29. Pickett had behaviour problems. Sampi will cost us 56,000 a year and either a pick after 40 in national draft or pick 3 psd. Sampi is 23. Sampi didn't have bad behaviour but instead told the club he was leaving to go home as he felt deeply depressed by his cousins death. As bad as it seems that he walked from the club, he was supposedly very close to his cousin. If someone so close to me died. I might not have wanted to show up to work either.

I really want Palmer at pick 4. I rate him highly. Ideally Cothcin but won't happen so id say Palmer for me. Also, would love Rance or Rioli to slip to pick 14.

Yes you see it's about the heritage. Then what is everyones issue with royal blue. Obviously part of our history isn't good enough so why should the rest be.
-
I will sign up when they send me something about the special MCC deal. NOT haha im joking guys!!! I may be an MCC member but I do know how to love my club like a true supporter. Will get mine (non-MCC) as soon as I can.
-
Horrible luck? Superstitious. Stupid to go by that. The royal blue looks ok. There are a few things we could do. Baby Blue Mainly Red Current jumper (switched colours) current alternative but pink (for the whole breast cancer thing.) etc etc etc. In all seriousness. It doesn't matter!!!!! Put the boys in green, yeelow or orange for all I care. Just win.

Ahhh Brock. Ive tried and tried to think of things to hate about you when you stuff up. But in the end I just love ya mate.
