2024 MRO & Tribunal
Not sure how people are arguing that Wright doesnât deserve weeks. No realistic attempt at the ball which ended in a nasty concussion is pretty straight forward. And Iâm sick of hearing about players âprotecting themselvesâ. Give me a spell. The bloke going back with the flight didnât get an opportunity to âprotect himselfâ, so why should the 110kg guy running at full speed from behind get to? How about not committing to contact if youâre worried youâll need to âprotect yourselfâ. P1zzweak excuse.

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Port Adelaide
I'm not actually too worried given how well our team defence held up with both May and Lever missing for basically a half of footy. Having said that, it is Hawthorn. We got great replacement options in Tmac and Petty. I wouldn't be surprised if they hold the fort really well at all. The only issue I see is needing Brown to get through the next batch of games while Petty is unavailable up forward. He's been really good and I hope his body holds up through this period.

Marquee Targets for the Tassie Devils
I trust we will be strategic when Tassie comes in by minimizing our draft capital for that year, and possibly the next.

PREGAME: Rd 02 vs Hawthorn
I wouldn't be calling for Sparrow to be dropped. From what I can tell he is doing enough execute his role without necessarily getting any rewards. Sometimes players need continuity of games to break through drops in form. Sending blokes to the VFL is not always the answer. Chandler on the weekend is a great example of that. No need to play around too much with a team that just beat the Dogs by 7 goals.

Kozzie in the midfield
Itâs no secret how damaging of player he is. Love kozzie in the middle. Love him anywhere to be fair.

GAMEDAY: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
Credit to Goodwin. Our attacking method feels different. We are using the corridor more. Our field kicking has been good. We are taking a moment to assess the next kick attacking out of half back. I like it. Nice to have BB and Tmac back. Both are doing their job well. Clarry is a beast. Really loving the look of howes, Windsor and billings. Plenty to like!

Geelong Sets Sights on Oliver
Why couldnât you be content saying you didnât agree with my remarks instead of calling my comment stupid and demanding I support a player I already fully support? Is that how you talk to people in person?

Geelong Sets Sights on Oliver
Fair, have removed that part of my comment. You are a very unpleasant person however.

Geelong Sets Sights on Oliver
Not sure whatâs funny mate. Just stating we have plenty of blokes that can play mid. What we donât have plenty of is quality ball users and reliable key forwards. If weâre happy making finals and doing no damage come September then by all means, letâs not think outside the box.

Geelong Sets Sights on Oliver
My word you can be abrasive for no reason

Geelong Sets Sights on Oliver
It doesn't matter. Prudent business is exploring what the compensation would look like before making any decision (on any player for that matter). Simple as that.

Viney, Sparrow, Tracca, Kozzie, Rivers, Salo, Windsor - and in the two's AMW, Brown How many midfield options do we need exactly?

Geelong Sets Sights on Oliver
A glaring issue in our list has been, for many years, quality ball users in our midfeild. That then amplifies our issue of having no elite power forward. Love Clarry, he is a generational player. But if letting him go would fix the issues above then of course we should entertain it.

Targeting Max
We all love Max for the way he plays when we win, then some will come here after a loss demanding he changes his entire demeanor to become a Mumford type. Canât have it both ways. Max is entitled to not completely dominate a game from time to time. Point your pitchforks elsewhere people.
-
And he's right about this.
So we just need to draft a generational power forward and teach our brigade of inside mid players to become classy users of the football overnight. Why didnât we think of this earlier?!

NON-MFC: Opening Round
There a few things in life more pleasurable than watching Collingwood lose. AFL comment sections this morning have some wonderful reading material from their fans. Just fills my heart with pure joy.
