GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Carlton
I don’t know much but I know we owe the blues a good rough up and rousing win. It won’t make up for a finals loss, that we should have won a million times over, but it is something to hold onto. Oh and Claz has been immense for our club and will go down as one of our greatest of all time with hopefully at least 5 more years of bang bang bang bang. Let’s do it for Claz ❤️

Where is Fritta Going?
Don't believe this, and objectively does not make sense. We have struggled to kick goals this year, so we're happy to move on the most established goalkicker in our forward line, for a complete unknown, or better yet, nothing? Sure, this has not been his best year, but I could say that about almost everyone on the list. Shall we move them on, too? He's been asked to play different roles and I haven't really agreed with some of them because he will never be the mongrel tackle machine that some of you want him to be. He's a high footy IQ (usually) deadeye who knows where to run to - problem is not many in the team know where to kick it to - because we insist on bombing i50. No wonder his goal output is down!!! Fix our delivery for guys like Fritter, and he will score more. Promise. Double promise. He's a Dees legend and an absolute gun. Some have short memories, and are happy to lay blame at the easiest target - the guy who kicks goals, neglecting all the work that has to go into the moments before the goals happen. Frittata - stay, please. We have much work to do, and I can't see it being done without someone who knows how to kick goals.

2025 MRO & Tribunal
What a [censored] defence, and rightfully rejected. Correct decision. Enjoy your holiday, Xerri.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
And just so you know where we stand with Kane Cornes, if that was even on your mind… he has sympathy for Xerri and would be disappointed for him if he missed weeks for the incident that KNOCKED Soaz out. Innocuous he says. And apparently Xerri had no time to move his arm out of the way, which neglects the fact that he put it there when Soaz approached. And anyway, Kane, our sympathies are with TOM SPARROW , I couldn’t give half a fig about Xerri or how many weeks he misses.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
Clarko’s response to Spaz being knocked out: “It is pretty hard going from competing in the ruck with big Max to then trying to lay a tackle within a split second. It’s unfortunate for Tom, but injuries happen”. Then mentioned LDU knocked out last week, and said “It swings in roundabouts,” what!? What a grub. WHAT tackle?!!!! Swing his arm out, just one arm to the face. Thats a tackle? 4 weeks. Minimum.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
Much better than our first outing this year. Great performance from Melk, Fritter, Trac and TMac was awesome - which only makes his omission even more glaring than it already was. But obviously soured by the hit on Spaz. Hope he is ok. Bye, Xerri. Whether he meant it or not, rules are rules. Catch ya. Might ‘only’ by the Roos but we did what we needed to do, kicked well and put ourselves in a position to win 12th position outright next week v the blues 🤣

Really begs the question as to why TMac has not been playing…

Where has this goalkicking been??

GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
Put lever on ice for the rest of the year. Back and forth with a Roos is a bit sad tbh. Shows where we’re at right now. At least more goals than points…

Welcome to Demonland: Caleb Windsor
Our best team has Windsor playing in it. Hasn't had the best season. Was an interrupted preseason and not in the most suitable role. Get him in, fit over the preseason and he will have a blinder in 2026. Him, Langford and X as the kids will be great. Kolt will come good, just needs to get the feel for the game. Needs to play more games, no other way to do that.

PREGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
It's a sad indictment on where we're at right now that there is some relief in some of NORTH MELBOURNE'S most important players not playing this weekend. Typically an exercise reserved for playing a top four team, when you're a rabble of course. That said, if we lose to them again I may need to commit myself at the Rancho Relaxo or something like that.

JvR Re-Signs until 2029
Was one of a few highlights over the weekend. And a really important one, because even though he isn't the issue (delivery, skills up the ground etc. are), he is a big piece of what we will need going forward. If we can have Roo regaining confidence and finding his feet (again) i50, it'll be a big boost in 2026. I think we still need to find another forward, but a couple of goals from him a game would be massive. Btw our current leading goalkickers btw are Kozzie (29) and Melk (20), which is particularly notable given they have only played 13 and 12 games, respectively. We are screaming out for a Larkey type (38 from 16), Hogan, obviously, sad face (40 from 12). Even Georgiades is 42 from 16! (we helped that along) Anyway, point is, Roo moving forward with us is much better than offloading him to a team who will (you know it) get him clicking. He is seriously talented, just need to find the right mix and invest the time. Or someone else will.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
Boys had a crack today, but we just can’t seem to maintain pressure or quality, and we get burnt by teams who can.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
Pretty decent in patches especially early until they piled on 8-1 goals or whatever. But that’s the same old story. It’s hard to know when we are going to turn up, and if we do, when, and how long we will turn off for Give the Melkman another five years, he is looking great.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
Can’t make inroads here. A tale for a lot of this year. We snooze for periods of the game, fall behind by a few goals, then go goal for goal before our much fitter and competent oppo turn on the jets at the end while we look startled.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
Paging Jeffo’s mum on here, you know who you are, ya boy isn’t cut out for this. Maybe one day, but not today.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
At least Nibbler is probably feeling good. Miss that guy. He will play finals this year and we’ll be talking about skills or forward connection. Culture or whatever

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
We’ve really fallen off a cliff here. Haven’t registered a goal for a qtr? The nearly 20 minutes without an i50 last term was diabolical. Classic Dees. Will they? Won’t they? And then they will, they may still not haha

Time to go Goody?
Yeah I did much the same, went and built some Lego with my 6yo instead of subjecting him to anymore of that nonsense. I am not sure about the buy-in/change of coach stuff, because we had a few weeks (our only block of wins) where it was starting to look like things were coming together, and even in the loss to the Pies, but I just can't get my head around the will they/won't they turn up stuff, and in the case above, not turning up in Q1, with fresh legs, after a bye, when fitness should not be an issue, after the media team spend so much time on insta talking about flights being booked, and the guys landing up there, then.... nothing... where are they? What happened to all that buzz? Just a no-show until the game was gone. Strange.

Trade Targets
All really good points, I hope you're right! I just keep seeing the Cats as those whack-a-moles. You whack one, two more appear. Or weeds haha. Highly efficient weeds. Agree with the teams in contention. The Doggies are another one who irk me a little. Looking at post 2021 GF results, they obviously were not as successful as us, having achieved, 8th, 9th, then 6th, and now this year really ought to do better than when they are and likely well. They are occasionally frustrating, but very good when good - but the stability of being thereabouts and not out of the frame is good. Us on the other hand going from top four to essentially bottom 4 is disheartening. That ladder position really kind of reflects our in game mentality.

Time to go Goody?
I agree with the fitness, but am also concerned about the coma we appeared to be in at the start of some of the games this year. Case in point the last game against the Suns. That does not come down to fitness, and we came off a bye! I don't think we are fit, but I also don't think we're mind fit, either.
