  1. Hopefully it’s enough of a lead. I wonder how much we have in the legs so we won’t want to make this hard for ourselves. Let’s try to put this out of reach in the first 5 minutes so we can lock it down a bit.
  2. Hey hey easy there, he’s kicked half a goal thank you very much…
  3. Billings with half a goal so far… Good tackle, though.
  4. So strong JVR good goal Blake’s kick no bueno though lol
  5. Truly hate against the momentum goals like that. Should not have left our 50.
  6. Clarry and Fritter combine again ❤️❤️
  7. What a waste what the hell was walker doing by himself?
  8. Seriously how good is McVee and Caleb has been fantastic
  9. So close for Kozzie, would have been great to finish the half with a goal there. Wasteful but a good last period, let’s come out like that, convert, and we will be just fine.
  10. We look pretty tired and sloppy. Getting smashed in the middle and our foot skills have been bad. Hopefully we’re saving the energy for.. . Well, from now because we can’t afford them entering the 50 like that all game, eventually they’ll improve conversion.
  11. How many chances are the crows gonna get to release the ball tonight!!!????
  12. I'm seeing lots of takes that we'll win this by 5-10 goals. I get it, we have been going fairly well - but we are playing the Crows at home, and they are under fire with a poor start to atone for. Regardless of whether they have been poor, those games don't matter. This game is what matters. They have played us very well recently and I'm not that bullish. Sure, we CAN win by those margins - but so could they. Against us - a few injury clouds, a 5 day break, hostile crowd - these aren't nothings. I'm not saying we won't win, or that we can't win by those margins, I'm just kind of in awe of the confidence shown by others. I'll be happy for us to grind out a gutsy, team-effort win against a decent oppositioin at their home. Dees by 10 points, holding them off late.
  13. haha thanks mate That's something else I missed - synergy. That'll take time, and the group will only get better. Hopefully no/limited disruptive injuries, of course. Yeah that's my take on JVR as well. His ruck work has been handy. Has presented with not too much success on the scoreboard yet, but I reckon he will find his feet very soon. That's a good question. We'll find out pretty soon!
  14. Agree on all fronts. There certainly is a certain dynamic element to our forward line right now. BBB's classic skills, JVR's power, Fritta's smarts and (normally) laser precision, Sparrow's one-step bangers, Nibbler's pressure and Kozzy's constant danger (anywhere, really) - plus better delivery and route to the 50 - it looks much better. Once Petty is settled (and we get some backs back - Bowza/Turner if we need him) - he will be an immense target up there I reckon. Add in Melky in the second half of the season who will benefit from better delivery, and we will benefit from his defensive pressure up forward, plus a fit McAdam - HOO-WEE!
  15. Completely agree. The Crows will be a tough prospect, but I see the Lions as a bigger game - and we won't want to lose to them on our turf - and for that we need as many of our guys fit. May COULD return this week, but whether he should is another question. We can cover May against the Crows I reckon.
  16. How good is to have someone like him to return!? I really hope he gets a solid, undisturbed run at it. With some injuries, there's a really good opportunity for him, he just needs some luck with injuries - can really cement a role for the year.
  17. Adelaide should NOT be underestimated this weekend. They are in a 'slump', but they are a good squad (even with a couple of injuries), and as a result will be even more fired up to chalk up a win - at home. In saying that, I think we need to look after our season. I know May is a tough nut etc, but he should recover properly over the next 2 weeks - and return for the Lions. Tommo would likely be his replacement, you'd think. I'm seeing Laurie's name again. Please. Please no Laurie. Yes I know he trains the house down and is chocablock full of potential - but I reckon we need to see sustained return in the 2s - Kolt in for Chandler if he does not play (seems most likely). No other changes, Billings stays - he has been generally good. Unless we get a curve ball with Trac (eep). I don't see McAdam getting up, as we would be a natural in for Chandler.
  18. Maxy: “It’s wins like this that show we are united”… we have a great culture ❤️ Yes 🙌
