Roos + Lyon - On The Couch
Not that I plan on bailing myself, but I understand why some might. Yes, clubs need their supporters in times of need (which in the case of MFC is seemingly always). Supporters need premierships though. MFC supporters have been in a dysfunctional, all give/no take relationship for an infamously long time now, and I donât blame some for wanting to pin a letter on the fridge.

Surely youâre not suggesting this season was an improvement on last yearâs?

GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs West Coast Eagles
That pass by ABN was pretty bloody good (Are you allowed to say positive stuff about Nibbler on this website anymore?)

THE MELBOURNE WAY by George on the Outer
I find this kind of self-perpetuating rhetoric pretty boring. Every supporter of every other AFL team pities us already. Do we really need to keep helping them along with our own self-pity?

The Incremental Bang Theory...
That ball drop in his kicking style almost begins at neck-level. If it was working I'd say leave it alone, but it really ain't. Otherwise I'm a fan and would hate to see him go.

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Western Bulldogs
Shutting down Naughton is key next Sunday. Heâs got a lot of confidence and is really enjoying showing the punters what heâs made of. Mayâs biggest test at the MFC so far.

POSTGAME: Rd16 vs Carlton
Goodwin would've needed a change of underwear when the siren went. Preuss just needs a bit more fuel in the tank, which will hopefully get worked into him over the next few weeks. Hunt needs to believe in himself and go for the friggin' goal when the opportunity is there. Frost had moments of brilliance and moments of ill-disciplined stupidity that almost cost us the match. Needs to lose that aspect of his game now. Salem was kicking like some other guy today. Weid has some serious confidence issues, which have plagued him since that infamous missed goal a few weeks back. Could see him dropped next week, but for who? Harmes hasn't been his former electric-self for a while now. I'm just thinking out loud here.

No Serious Damage for Gawn
Technically a sprained ankle is ligament damage but yeah, pulling him off for the rest of the season is a bit ???

Key forwards - let's go shopping!
Surely heâll have another period in the sun. He was such an instrumental part of last yearâs finals campaign.

We are due for a Rebuild.
Cats-supporting Uber driver last night: âWhatâs the name of that guy who dropped the sitter in front of the goals?â âTom MacDonaldâ âHeâs hopeless. You should get rid of himâ âYepâ

Key forwards - let's go shopping!
Tom MacDonald is a neocon who goes to Jordan Peterson conferences and does podcasts with the Institute Of Public Affairs. This is something I was willing to overlook when he was a half-decent footy player, but I canât actually stand looking at the guy now that he sucks harder than a flagship-model Hoover.
