It’s a tendency of AFL commentators to go into auto-pilot and find themselves saying obvious rubbish such as... “You get the feeling that (team name) really needs to get a goal soon”. It’s great to hear the sound of the crowd and the general atmosphere of the game. Having a “mute” function on those muppets would be an excellent feature. That or adopt the Premier League approach and only have one professional broadcaster calling the game, as opposed to several ex-player deadshits vying for “personality of the year”.

Wasn’t suggesting there was any ill-will from AT towards Deledio. But he would definitely be [censored] at the club, as he was very keen on staying there from all reports. It would hurt like hell being such a consistent inclusion during the H&A season and get flung like that for the finals. So if Deledio’s calf comes good for next week (and they get beaten by the Lions), we would be recruiting a talented 26 year-old with hopefully a real fire in the belly and a desire to get revenge on a few doubters. When you consider that a fall on a hard surface can actually kill you, a significant blow to the head could obviously do serious damage which reveals itself over time. Sure, the body can be resilient, but it can also be quite fragile. Plus in KK’s case, it wasn’t just one hit.

Yeah so from what I can gather, there’s speculation that GWS will have to turf a player at season’s end to accomodate a re-contracted Whitfield, and that player is Tomlinson. Might’ve been a little ugly over there when word got out. So they played Deledio in his place and he got injured, so they’ll likely have to put AT back on the field (pending Deledio’s scans). Awkward! But take what I say with a grain of salt. A lot of the time I really have no idea what I’m talking about. I’m just riffin’ here.
