MFC opens a massive can of worms on the comp.

I called it when the Tiges played us, it is over for the tiges their midfield isn't what it was and their defence is extremely overrated.

I think there are parallels that can be drawn into in both the Hawks and Norf games. Both lowly ranked teams in which our out put(2nd gear) and performance were down from previous high level performances. In both cases i think we have been thinking about the following weeks offering, Hawks followed by the Tiges and Norf followed by the Swans. The outcomes were almost identical as both teams were blown away in the 4th quarter when the game was needed to be won with 10 minutes of damaging footy. We can't expect arousal levels are to going to be at 100% every week against the battlers, the main objective is to be banking wins against the lesser likes and avoiding injuries and suspensions. Expending the energy that is needed against the high quality teams is all part of the game management that is required to get to the end of season with petrol left in the tank. Where we can launch into September with a health and hungry list that is not limping in with no energy reserves. Don't get caught up on the performances against the lesser likes, be happy to bank the wins and look forward to the games that matter. Give em hell this week Dees.

I don't think they have the skill or pace out of the backline to consistently move the ball out of their defensive half. When the correct pressure coverage is applied and sustained by a fit well drilled team, they don’t seem to have a consistent exit plan out of their back half. Whether it be exiting down the line to a tall ruck option or a consistent Marking CHF they don't seem to possess this in there arsenal to release the pressure valve. The Tiges worked this out and closed them down with ease, it lived in the Tiges F50 after quarter time. The flick handpassing looks slick on the eye, but if you over do it and the pressure is elite you will come unstuck without a clear exit route especially from clearance situations.
