Buddy?
What do they call it when a baseballer has attempted to hit the ball twice and missed? Both him and his close mate now at St Kilda. Won’t mention the one at Freo because “I know NOTHING!”
-
Who will the Demons target next?
A callous, self-absorbed, money grubbing little scumbag. AND I don’t like him.
-
Allir Allir
Former Aspley Hornets (Qld) player as are the Wagners and Oskar Baker. Couple of knocks on him are a tendency to have tunnel vision, not great foot skills and attention seeker/party animal (apparently).

Round 4 Non MFC games
Off current topic but I have been watching Suns V Blues. It's like watching an under 12's game. Seriously poor skills from both sides generally. Young Sam Walsh is going to be a champion however.

Casey Demons v North Melbourne VFL - Round 2
Agreed. The weaker opposition could assist Jeffy build on that confidence he needs to perform. Jeff is a naturally very shy and quite complex young man and poor games cause him to retreat into his shell for extended periods. Up and running, J. Garlett is perhaps the only player on our list who can change a game in a single quarter. We desperately need him.

What to do with Bruce Mcaveney
McAvaney only said it once and it may have been in the last quarter, but he referred to one of the Wagner boys as “Vargner”! I nearly choked on my Lazy Bear! He fair dinkum has a Doctorate in Monkey Spanking.

Next Melbourne (Vice) Captain
Jake Lever for me. One very astute young man.

What to do with Petracca?
Treats every game like park footy with his mates. Needs to have someone like Todd Viney pin him up against a wall and be told a few home truths from 2 inches away. Get angry son! You can be everybody’s buddy off the field. On it, you need to be a dead set hard nosed bastard that physically intimidates the opposition.

Sam Weideman + contract
A couple of stints at CHB wouldn’t do him any harm either. Was instrumental in the making of David Neitz and the reinvention of TMac.

AFLW: The Farce of the Conference System
Consign it back to local leagues. Introduce AFL under 19 comp that play curtain raisers to senior games. THAT is a step forward.

Big Bash
Last week you said that Seb Gotch and Dan Worrall weren’t up to it! (despite Worrall being possibly the best swing bowler in the country). All of a sudden they are legends. You also canned Zampa who is a walk up start for the World Cup squad. You’re a great judge mate! Thankfully you are not a cricket selector.

Injury List - Season 2019
I look at the long list of post 2018 season surgeries, add in the niggles to May and Kolodjashnij plus Lever’s recovery and can’t help thinking that the law of averages dictates that one or more will have a recurrence. Add in the typical run-of-the-mill AFL season sprains and strains and I am thankful that we now have a deep list from which to draw replacement players.

Demon expats
It’s one of the more popular brands of “baijiu” which literally means “white alcohol”. It’s actually not white but clear like vodka. Another brand, Maotai, is perhaps the most famous. These well known brands are often very expensive and highly prized as gifts. They are all all very high in alcohol content and to me taste bloody terrible and more useful for stripping paint or starting engines. Give me a Harbin lager any day.

Demon expats
Not an expat per se but I spend about 8 months per year in mainland China primarily Shenzhen and Changsha.

Welcome to Demonland: Kade Chandler
I can't for the life of me understand why alleged "supporters" are writing these young blokes off sight unseen (or based on a brief video). What is it that you don't get? Apart from the fact that they are boys that are still growing and maturing, they have been selected by the powers that be at our club as having the potential to be AFL footballers. FCS give them a bloody chance!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - TOM SPARROW
Clearly gotta name him T-Bird!

Welcome to Demonland: James Jordon
Don’t even say that in jest!

A Day at the Races
Oh! Sorry about that. I wasn’t aware rules applied. Just ignore mine.

A Day at the Races
G’day guys. I have a few good bets scattered across the country tomorrow but focusing on the big meeting I will settle on: Flemington Race 6 No. 3 Shillelagh.
-
A Day at the Races
Keep selecting those leaders at Caulfield binman The winner of the first led and should have been run down but kept them all at bay down the straight.
-
A Day at the Races
Homesman is the one for me. Should jump to the front on a leaders track and a big weight drop makes it a very good chance.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
Braydon has a fair bit of mongrel in him and their are reports that he intimidated the hell out of Goldstein at training! Maybe we should nickname him Carl? I wouldn’t be worried if we rested Maxy a few times during the season and gave Big Carl Preuss a call up. There will also be times during next season when we need to play two ruckmen and I’m looking forward to seeing how that goes.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Lets now hope Jesse wakes up to himself and puts pen to paper with us. Any inflated ego from being the subject of much discussion has burst big time. Time to settle down and play football with the team that has looked after you through your darkest hours young fella.
