A big shout out to Milkshake who's not had the easiest of years, but not once, but twice received the ball and just about on one step went bang and kicked two great goals from around fifty meters out. Impressive yesterday.

Some observations from yesterday. Sitting on the second level outside the Long Room I could not get over the noise generated by the Dee's supporters. Was long and strong all day. Just about the biggest cheer of the day was when we finally received a free kick early in the final quarter. The club MUST challenge the umpiring dept on many of the decision that went against us today. What are we doing that wrong that 17 other teams are not getting pinged for. Really felt for big Maxy who took some of the decisions really hard. The anger/frustrations on his face were there for all to see.. Did anyone else noticed just how high the ball was being thrown in? The highest I think I have ever seen. Others around me made the same comment. Really proud of the boys today and Angus you really stood out. So accurate with his passing. Dare to dream Melbourne, dare to dream.

I would not be able to contain myself. I know a couple of eagle supporters here and I thought Geelong and Hawthorn supporters were smug.

We also sit in the MCC section and very few left. They only started to leave as the boys had run past us to stand by the race waiting for Jack Watts to lead them off. For 27,000+ they made quite a bit of noise during the match.

Highest amount of free's paid in this game than any other for the whole season and yet they missed so many throws. Geelong throw more than the Bulldogs last year. I get so angry watching "Duckwood" sniping, ducking and acting the injured party for free kicks. Dangermouse has gone the same way as well. Well, with Lethlean leaving we might, just might, get some respite from influencing the MRP that he has done in the past. We may also get some stability with the umpires but I feel that his fiddling with interpretations is so entrenched we won't see a change until next season. Will not comment on why he is leaving as I'm sure others will comment better than I could.
