Farewell Jesse Hogan
clearly hoges is meeting clubs, but if he doesn't request a trade expect his contract to be extended so we dont lose him as a free agent

agree but 1 or 2 should have showed something if we were getting it right. we aren't and in the circumstance we should just go to the draft going forward

kade is clearly flawed if he can't get a game at gc and they want to move him on

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
yet, we have been poor with recycler players or pro scouting i.e. balic, mckenna, bugg, ben kennedy, aiden riley, and many more from the neeld era which l won't go into

Farewell Jesse Hogan
yes that was discussed in a prior post

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Very true

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Not true. Gaff and Lycett are moving on so they have heaps of cap space. West coast expressed interest in him last time rumours were around, even with Darling and Kennedy on their books. With Kennedy 32 next year and injury prone, they need another forward and I'm sure they would love to have the 3 of them running around next season

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Why not?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
All clubs would be interested in a premier forward I think but Jesse will only go interstate to WA. Don't rule out West Coast either
-
Farewell Dean Kent
Bugg gone, Kent going and if Spargo gets the 2nd year blues, we still need a back up crumber. Having someone that has kicked 40 plus goals isn't a bad plan B assuming the $ are in line

On paper we need some outside run and apparently he can provide this. However, if GC are happy for him to explore his options, how good is he really?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
Understand we might need another tall but would not use the Collingwood game as an example of that. We won the ruck many more time than we lost this year. The Preuss interest to me is more around having an extra tall on the list for backup in case Gawn is injured, Hoges goes or rule change leading to more open marking contests. Would love Stephen May also.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
If the Hogan rumour is true (which I actually believe this time) our interest in Preuse now makes a little more sense to me particularly if we are unsure whether we can extract Steven May

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Good mates with Kent from WA who could be on the way out

Farewell Jesse Hogan
We are getting into premiership contention so you don't want to lose any A-grade talent unless list mgmt have a guaranteed A-grader coming back the other way. Would be ok if Sam May, Gaff, Neale, or an unknown are coming back the other way. We will stretch teams with Weid, TMac and Hoges like never before. Weid will get the 3rd best tall and will benefit as much as anyone and learn along the way.

2019 best 22 and depth chart
true, we don't seem to attract free agents either which are free kicks. they seem to always go to hawt or geel

2019 best 22 and depth chart
Its about money ball, and if your current and future output isnt in line with your salary you become tradeable. tyson, kent, bugg would likely be in that boat. others aren't up to day in day out performances like frost (doesn't play when lever is back), hannan but we still need then until we have something better and the cap space to get players in. also a best 22 type with finals experience would be helpful for when lewis and Jones move on likely after next season

i think we can give away future picks but we are limited in what we can do given overs for lever last year

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
we won't know for sure whether some of his errors and ill discipline started the rot and dynamic of the team in the early part of the 1st quarter, but it certainly didn't help. having said that he was very influential inn helping the team progress to the prelim. had a good year overall

New CEO - Gary Pert
Just perception but never felt Bartlett appreciated Peter Jackson talking about the old and new Melbourne boards when he arrived. From afar it seemed like Jackson (with the strong support of the afl) probably ran his own show which for the most part has been a success but has not totally been forgotten

Gaming - we are out!
It's quite extraordinary that the 2 clubs to exit gaming are actually amongst the poorest. Makes the decision even more impressive. Other more financial clubs will need to follow through and do similar or hang their heads in shame.

160th Anniversary Jumper
Would happily pay overs for a premiership jumper

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARRISON PETTY
Looks like a natural footballer and his disposal and composure looks impressive in the highlights pack. I'm pick him ahead of Frost for round 1 on that basis ... just kidding

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
Highlights suggest he is quick when the footy is around, has good goal sense and is evasive. Seems a good fit
