  1. Correct. And it depends on the approach the surgeon or physio take to recovery/rehab.
  2. Meniscus tear can usually be easily surgically removed via arthroscopic keyhole surgery. Doesn’t usually require months off the leg. Most people are walking within a day or two. Of course MFC may choose to take a cautious approach...
  3. Why do Carlton supporters boo fair goals that the opposition team kicks?
  4. Fritsch forward to replace Tom. Gawn back in his usual brilliance. 2 weeks for a sprained ankle is about right. Keep Preuss in. He’s a great mark and a long kick. He had a good game today. Lever to the backline to replace Hore. Maynard or Jordon in for potential and development. They did well at Casey. The Wagners are just no good.
  5. 11 possessions two points at Casey yesterday. Struggling at Casey.
  6. Why, what will he be doing just before the game? ?
  7. And as for those pitiful post game talks by the loser coach- WTF?
  8. Tell them how bad this year has been in no uncertain terms.
  9. Because he’s a good player and is an important leader.
  10. The third quarter against the Brisbane bears the players came out and looked like they just couldn’t be bothered. They have put the cue in the rack for the year. They know the game plan is no good, most of their fellow players aren’t that good and they won’t be playing finals this year. Just collect the pay check and don’t try too hard because there’s no accountability anyway. You’ll get a game next week because there’s nobody better in Casey and lots are out injured.
  11. We had Fritsch but they put him down the back. Likewise with Jeremy Howe who was banished to the back line for nearly two years and who left for Collingwood.
  12. A loss to Carlton would be psychologically damaging to supporters and players. Carlton has been the bottom team, useless and inept for years. The rest of this season would be a total wipe off and we might as well not even go to the games. We will be accused of tanking again. Who is the top draft pick? We could name it the ...(insert name of top draft pick) ..Cup like the Kreuser cup all those years ago - the aim being to lose.
  13. Most likely we’ll wait 2 more years with this useless coach and then finally sack him when the club finally realizes how bad he is.
  14. We didn’t beat many teams in the top eight last year, we had an easy draw and we won a couple of finals against teams on the back foot. We had beaten WC in the WC and then lost our mojo in the rematch. We haven’t got it back. And footy isn’t fun this year. It’s [censored]. This leads to losing and losing and losing.
  15. To what end? Would you like to destroy May’s self confidence? He’s one of our players now!
  16. Bailey Fritsch is a forward and is being played down back, out of position. The forwards don’t have enough quality players for the opposition to match up on currently with Melksham injured, Hogan gone, Preuss inexplicably not being played (at least he would take some marks and/or draw a back man of the opposition to match up on him even if he was just plonked into the forward fifty and probably would kick some goals). This means the opposition backs can prevent our forwards marking or getting into a good position. The current forward structure is the worst in the AFL. This is why we are losing every week. If there were more quality players in the forwards and also if our players felt free to have a shot on goal instead of hand passing to a player who is about to be tackled (wrong game plan) then we might kick some goals and win some games.
  17. No it was lost on the field by the players. Poor decision making, poor skills and just plain average level players. Brisbane have genuine elite stars and are a very good team now. We are not.
  18. The draft is a lottery. We picked lots of top picks and ended up with duds. Cale Morton, Jimmy Toumpas, Jordan Gysberts, etc, etc. The guys that select the players and do the trades have done much better over the past couple of years.
  19. One of the biggest problems Australian Rules football has is free kicks. Players get up to all sorts of tricks to be awarded a free kick eg Joel Selwood ducking or raising the shoulder so he gets tackled high. There are now so many rules that can result in a free kick that the entire game can be won or lost entirely due to free kicks rather than good play, good skills such as kicking, marking, hand passing and running fast with the ball. The game is being absolutely destroyed by yearly rule changes, leaving the umpires and players confused and looks more like a rolling rugby maul now than our football game.
