  1. Parents who complain about their poor little darlings playing a big tough game of footy and getting injured should go and get them to play tiddlywinks.
  2. Message to Steven May: go home and drink a few beers in private. The critics are sanctimonious bastards who probably do the same every day.
  3. If we took everyone off after a minor bruise or sprain we’d have no players on the field!
  4. In the most recent game Geelong played, Dangerfield could hardly walk after injuring his ankle, went straight down to the rooms and then returned to the field running normally. Looked likely he’d had a local anaesthetic injection.
  5. Why? Does he have a medical qualification? If he’s upset with the doctor there are avenues to complain such as AHPRA, the medical board.
  6. Drinking on your own was seen as shameful once upon a time. Drinking with mates in a pub was seen as normal behaviour, as long as you didn’t overdo it...
  7. Journalism is about selling rag newspapers and advertisements online not about the truth. Journalists don’t care who they hurt along the way.
  8. All of it. Who cares if he had a few beers? It’s none of the press’s business. If he had a break up of a relationship or another personal problem it’s also none of their nosey, nasty small-minded business; it's just sensationalism that is primarily used to sell crappy newspapers that are a waste of paper except to wipe your bum with.
  9. I’m not sure what Max Gawn defines as running. I saw May running with the rehab group last Friday at open training. They weren’t running fast but they were running.
  10. Because we do so well with draft picks: Trengove, Cale Morton, Gysberts, Toumpas, etc., etc.
  11. It was also about 42degrees on the ground that day.
  12. Nothing. We’ll lose badly. This team is a complete joke.
  13. So you can’t remember the years where we were up the top one year and down the bottom the next?
  14. He’s got problems with concussion. He could come good, like Angus B or he might never come back. It’s really up to how motivated he is and how serious the brain injury is.
  15. To be fair I think they’re talking about defence in a broad sense, to include tackling in the forward line and elsewhere, manning up all over the ground, not letting opposition players spread and run free, not just backline traditional defence.
  16. Run? Petracca? He’s as slow as a hippo!
