I'm so accustomed to being outraged at the adjudication, that when we get a fair run, like last Sunday, I actually feel guilty. It happened on QB 2017, when we seemed to get a charmed run, and I felt guilty( but happy) after beating the Pies. The "snot-green maggots"* more than made up for it in round 23 2017. (*I liked this description from a previous poster! I've forgotten who it was.)

Hopefully that brute OMac will concuss that thug Cameron early in the game next Sunday!

Has any Melbourne based club ever won 6 games interstate before? I presume interstate sides have, but I doubt if Melb clubs have. Admittedly 2 were “ home” games, but to win in Adelaide and Perth , plus the other four,is a great effort! We barrack for a good side.

Spot on,TGR. My mind went back to the Geelong game last minutes when Henderson sent it 60 m straight up the middle. I’ll never forget the last half minute of the ‘87 prelim. After our last behind, they torped it right up the centre, and ended up with Buckanara’s goal. But perhaps we should follow “Go the Biff’s” advice, when we’re a goal down with a minute to play. Don’t try and get it down the other end, just lament the way you’ve been playing all day!

I can’t hack those two thugs pontificating on the Gaff affair. Gaff’s gaffe was a one-off shocker from a previously fair player, and he was lucky to only get 8 weeks. Matthews repeatedly perpetrated cowardly ,behind the play atrocities ( Giles, Smith and McMullin for us, and every team can quote similar incidents against their players) Even worse is Judd, who on two occasions was found guilty of attacking the eyes of opponents.....the EYES! Obviously delicate, sensitive, and important structures, crucial to a normal life. Not satisfied with that, he “chicken-winged” an opponent with a known shoulder injury. He was also guilty of deliberately standing on his taggers abdomen, and twisting his stops into his guts. The guy is a vicious, heartless hypocrite, and should never comment on unfair play.

If we want to threaten for the flag next season, we MUST play one, hopefully two ,finals this year.

Perhaps there will only be seven in the eight!

Doesnt matter how he played before that...Rayner lost it for Bris, and typical of North’s luck, kept them in the finals race. He could hardly have missed if he’d lined it up, plus he could have taken another half minute off the clock. Geelongs luck ran out last night. Nothing to do with it!? If I was umpire, I would have penalised Ablett for jumping on Brayshaw’s back in that last exchange. I wouldn’t have had to pay the block on OMac,when Touhy marked.(because the ball wouldn’t have got down there) When I come to think of it, if I was umpire, we’d never lose a game!!!!
