  1. I'm not sure what kind of value Goldstine will get in a trade if his taps are going to the opposition.
  2. Can I get a PM about the friction too
  3. I hope next year he can go back to going head in with the oppositions best mid. The jobs he did on the likes of Pendles, danger etc were huge. He is the best in our team at taking a player out of the game while contributing the other way. He uses his big body, great kick and hits the score board. Get him back in the middle.
  4. That's fair summary DubDee. you could add GWS and GCS have loads of early picks.
  5. Did their doctor give him the once over?
  6. Although I felt he was getting back some form early in the year I think the side evolved without him once he got injured. if I am looking for positives, if Harry and Hibberd both come in and play on the flanks it could push Salem and Hunt onto the wings. They would be some good weapons on the MGC wings.
  7. I am told the secret ingredient is just vitamins and may even cure cancer.
  8. I agree to an extent except what many call handouts is just compensation for the poor commercial terms of our fixture.
  9. Also I think Carltons big loss was due to the clean out of its football department similar to what happened with us a few years back.
  10. It would be good to be able to quantify the value of fixturing benefits in dollar terms as I am sick of hearing supporters of big clubs talk about hand outs we are given when i would be surprised if it amounted to anywhere near the value the extra exposure Friday night games would provide. Extra exposure for your product on free to air, ability to reach new members, more attendances at games, grater corporate sales and greater return for sponsors would be far greater particularly over the long term than any perceived welfare.
  11. Regardless of who is at the club their behaviour hasn't changed one bit.
  12. The other thing in the Clark deal was that we were able to get the business done with the Lions with Pick 12. Freo were busy trying to get him on the cheap. He would have been a Docker had they offered up a better deal earlier in the piece.
  13. Your too kind. I would rather go with the theory that he has let things get out of hand with open bar and is slightly incoherent at this stage of the night. We shouldn't let the more likely scenario spoil that should we?
  14. Would Schultz for a year while the Weid and Hulett develop be better than Dawes?
  15. Except we are at a disadvantage because they have already spent time at the club and formed relationships. This would give them an advantage they shouldn't be afforded for their cheating.
  16. Article on the AFL site suggests he might come back into coaching. Pies appear to be front runners but we are in the running. Obviously once Goodwin steps up into the big job we will need another senior assistant. Thoughts?
  17. Lets not forget the major hip operations right before the draft. His highlights before this showed a player with good speed running and carrying the ball and kicking long goals on the run. When he got to us he just looked so painstakingly slow and rushed and nothing like the player we saw. i don't think there is only one factor at play here.
  18. Also on Trengove, I read the In the Mix article on the AFL site which said tagger Ben Jacobs from the Roos returned from injury on the weekend and spent time on JT. Not a bad effort if he still or was near to BOG. also said he played with some speed.
  19. Given the emergence of our young back group, I would rather we didn't pick up Hibberd. Hurley I don't mind.
