  1. You weren't getting enough love in the post match discussion thread for bagging him so you decided to make a separate thread to feed your ego? Nice work, mate.
  2. Titan - his comments about Dawes go hand in hand with his defence of Michie, who he claimed had a 'decent' game while Dawes and Grimes were terrible. He's not an astute judge of football.
  3. He took a ripper in the last quarter that was above his head. Sorry Dawes isn't Wayne Carey but when he plays his role, like he did today, we are a better side for it.
  4. Yes, but that doesn't mean they all weren't behind Goodes. It reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer won't wear the AIDS ribbon. Just because he chooses not to wear it doesn't mean that he doesn't support the cause as much as everyone else, and I'm sure this is the same with the Pies. Proud of my club to do what they did though.
  5. Grimes was horrible? Go home mate, you're drunk. Didn't realise sticking the DE in there would get your knickers in a twist either. Do you know Michie personally? Didn't get nearly enough ball and as someone earlier pointed out he doesn't run hard enough both ways. No idea how you can bag Grimes who did some terrific things (with a few of his usual dodgy moments) and almost defend Michie who was basically unsighted for 3 quarters.
  6. What also can't be overlooked in this win is the fact that we kept the Pies to just 1 goal in the first quarter and then kept them goalless when the game was on the line in the last. We are a team who CAN do all the right things. Finding the consistency to do it more often is now obviously the key.
  7. Pretty good joeboy, although I think it's a little harsh on ANB. 15 touches and 6 tackles is not a bad effort from a first year player.
  8. Damn, you're right mate. I was looking at his time on ground stat instead. I stand corrected.
  9. 6 touches at 52% DE. Got his chance and, unfortunately, didn't take it.
  10. I don't disagree with what you posted. It is a truth. One that is on display when we play far too often than we would like. But we are so quick to get stuck into our players, sometimes rightly so and other times unjustly, that it seems harsh to come straight in and be negative in the first thing you post. The boys deserve praise for the way they played today, not a reminder of something that clearly didn't hurt us too much today.
  11. Spot on Nash. And to think the wider footy community potted him for dropping himself a few months ago when he was right out of form. He's been a different player since he did that and fits in with Roos' idea of the players taking responsibility for their footy. Wonderful to see him play so well today.
  12. C'mon mate, can't even put it aside to enjoy the win? We would have to be the most insufferable and ungrateful bunch of supporters sometimes. We beat the filth and the first thing you post is a negative.
  13. Brilliant stuff. Further evidence that the over-reactions of some on here are ridiculous in the extreme. Roosy is setting us up perfectly, and while the bumps can be hard to take, we need to be patient. Go Dees!
  14. If we can kick the first goal then we are a big chance. We have to stop the Pies from kicking on early and getting a run on.
  15. Garland would be the wrong match up. McDonald has more strength and he covers the ground quicker to keep up with someone like Moore. The Pies are going small and therefore Garland would be a good match up for someone like Fasolo. I'm hoping they put McDonald back as well, he is clearly of more benefit to the side in that capacity.
  16. You are basing this on the fact he was named on the 'extended' interchange for Casey? You do realise even players named on the bench for the AFL side are also named in the Casey side as well until it is finalised? You're talking dribble again picket. We need to buy you a bib.
  17. Michie lovers unite! James Harmes has been named the sub. Elliot, surprisingly, is the sub for the Pies.
  18. I agree with that Django. Petracca is not a high flying forward. While he is very good above his head he brings a far different set of skills to the table than Howe does.
  19. Not when it's come from BigFooty or Facebook. We all know who has some cred here. Unless they have some previous good form I take any 'sources' or 'I've been told's' with a grain of salt.
  20. Brayshaw and Vanders are to be expected. They were always going to have a drop in form at some stage, it's just a shame it seems to have happened at the same time.
  21. No Cloke helps but Darcy Moore is just the sort of young kid who will bob up and jag important goals in his place. Not confident at all.
  22. Up until his final year of TAC he was predominantly a forward. His last year showed that he had the capacity to play in the midfield and do so very well, but right not he is not a pure midfielder. He will still spend plenty of time up forward in his first few seasons at least.
  23. BigFooty and Facebook don't count.
  24. The one where he tackled Taylor Hunt? That one was paid as a push in the back. The Miles one was given as a free to Gunston. If there was another one I must have missed it while eating my toast...
  25. That was paid as a push in the back mate.
