  1. I'd do that deal. Probably the closest we will get to being fair for both clubs. Just wait for the usual deals suggest on here that include any of Fitzy/Terlich/Riley/Bail etc as if they have some sort trade value. Those guys are worth next to nothing and won't be the decider in a deal for someone like Prestia.
  2. Aboriginal or not the bloke is booed because he isn't a likable football player. Players like Milne, Ballantyne etc. are constantly booed and they take it on the chin. Goodes gets booed and we cry 'racist'. It's a bit rich to be honest.
  3. Absolutely mate. Makes no difference to me now. The season is well and truly over, just hoping we can snag at least 1-2 more wins somehow before it's all over.
  4. I'd like the boys to win more games so the posters who love wallowing in their own filth have nothing to say and we don't have to wade through their muck within these threads. Cheers to those who provide a measured opinion. You are like gold around here.
  5. Thanks for the context. Munga wouldn't know the meaning of the word.
  6. Anyone actually got the quote or the right context here, or are we all just getting angry and upset for the sake of it?
  7. What a wonderful game that was. I hope they tape it so they can show prospective Melbourne supporters just the type of football our club can put on. We are seriously the best club out there when it comes to handpasses to stationary players, botching kicks going forward, making the wrong match ups and allowing teams to get a run on in a quarter of their choosing that will put the game out of our reach. No-one does it better guys. Roos isn't the problem either guys. He isn't kicking the ball, missing a handpass or not running hard enough.
  8. Garlett is just the sort of guy though who can bob up in the second half and snag 2-3 goals from nothing. Fingers crossed today is one of those days.
  9. They are few and far between jumbo...
  10. Clearly what we do defensively works. It's just a shame what we do the other way doesn't.
  11. If Roos didn't sprint out there and tear shreds off every single one of them then I'd be very, very angry about that.
  12. Turned it off. See you guys next week.
  13. Holy hell this is hard to watch.
  14. I'll take all of them over Der-Wayne!
  15. We do have a better list than Carlton, but you could argue that the Saints are at least on par with us right now. Their mids are at least as good, if not better, than ours, they have Roo and Josh Bruce up forward as well who are always a threat. Their backline isn't flash and ours is better but, right now, we aren't really any better than them.
  16. Really? You're another to tread that line? You are actually going to suggest that if we can't beat St. Kilda today we can't beat Carlton in a few weeks time? Seriously. People here need to look past their noses and think bigger than just one week.
  17. Their supporters must be on the drugs as well if 23,000 of them turned up at the G instead of Etihad where it's being played...
  18. Ha ha Ninthmond!
  19. I wouldn't put too much stock in what the papers say. They ALWAYS link one of Collingwood, Richmond or Carlton to a player. Just look at Treloar - both the Pies and Tigers are named as the ones throwing money at him. It's as regular as clockwork. No one truly know what the clubs are doing, and just because the paper doesn't name us it doesn't mean we aren't well in the race for him either.
  20. It's great to watch because it's Carlton getting flogged, but it's also hard to watch as I see so much of 2013 Melbourne in their performance.
  21. Just listen to Ling tonight. The bloke LOVES the sound of his own voice and he spouts utter dribble, particularly early in the game when he tries to get across this fake excitement about what's happening on the field. It's horrible to listen to.
  22. Just wait till olisik reads this. He'll [censored] his pants.
  23. He isn't wrong though. After such a long lay off it is expected that he will suffer a soft tissue injury or two as his body re-adjusts to the training loads. I don't think olisik was saying Trenners wasn't going to make it, more that he will still have a few mental and physical hurdles to jump before he is back on the park. I'm confident he will be far better than Mitch at handling it though.
  24. In theory you could say Parker is worth an early first rounder and a late first rounder. Fitz isn't worth a late first rounder. Guys who can't get a run in our side aren't going to be worth that much.
  25. If we kicked straight against Essendrug and defended properly for 40 seconds against the Saints then we would only be 1 game out of the eight. Just saying...
