MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 21
Wiseblood replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
It will actually be good to see if our maturity has improved over the course of this year. We know, without a doubt, that we have improved and we have the talent to back it up. But it takes maturity to put that big win from the weekend aside and turn our focus to Port and not get caught up in the excitement or get ahead of ourselves. I'm hoping to see us come out with the same intensity this week and approach the game in the manner we should each week. -
Great stuff! Another 2 ticked off and the commitment to the cause continues!

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 21
Wiseblood replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I feel as though someone has said that before every game this year. It's not a bad thing though, it's actually nice to have an important game in Round 21! Reckon we are a big chance this week. Let's hope Whorethorn do the right thing and smash the Kangas to give us a chance. -
THE MOST AWESOME POST MATCH THREAD EVER!!!
Wiseblood replied to red and blue forever's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's been 3 days since the win and I still can't wipe the smile off my face. Watched the replay twice and our highlight package 5 times and I'm still not sick of either. -
The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here
Wiseblood replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
True, it's not a shabby midfield, but it won't hold a candle to ours in a few years time. Fyfe is injured regularly, Mundy is old, the Hill brothers are inconsistent, as is Walters. Neale is the only regular contributor each week in that midfield. When stacked up against ours it isn't even close. Plus Sandilands is near retirement and they don't have much quality waiting in the wings. -
Got back to the first page of this thread - look at his OP and look at what I quoted a few posts down. Two totally different posts. He had a huge crack at Oscar and has now edited it to make sure he doesn't look as bad. It's a shame he can't edit my quoted post.

Who are the Dees chasing for 2017 and at what cost?

Jesus... That club is a rabble. -

Not that he was ever a target for us, and rightly so, but Lewis Taylor has re-signed with the Lions. I would be interested to know if the Lions upped their offer or Taylor quickly realised that no-one was really interested in a bloke whose only strength is his pace? -
Of course it's an opinion. It's all our opinion, as we don't know it as fact yet. You think Michie, Newton, Trengove and Lumumba deserve further contracts? And have you told Terlich personally that he should be delisted? You're always happy to tell others that we should say things to the players' faces, so I hope you've pulled him aside to tell him that over the last few weeks. I'm sure he would appreciate it.
-
Who gets delisted, Saty? I know you want to hold on to them all, but we will need to use at least 3 picks at the draft, which means we move on 3 players at a minimum. Who, in your esteemed opinion, should be delisted or moved on?
-
Is he knocking the club you support again?
-
He will be very unlucky indeed, no doubt about it mate. But as I said, if Hogan is right then he plays, and it will more than likely be at the expense of Pedersen.
-
I find it bemusing. We've got a once in a generation forward who is barely 21. He kicked 40 odd goals last year and will do the same again this year. How many kids his age have the capacity to kick 7 in a game? The list would be a small one. Yet because we played one great game, and he has been down on his form a little of late, people actually don't want to bring him back into the side. Because we've won 2 games without him it's almost as if it means we don't need him at all. Madness. All it confirms is that we have some serious talent and, when we work out how to use it more efficiently going forward with Hogan IN the side then we will be tough to stop. If he is fit, he plays. He won't be in the VFL. Pedersen makes way for him and if anyone else, in this instance, thinks otherwise then they're having a laugh.
-
He won't be dropped as such, but he will need to make way for Hogan if he's fit. Let's not kid ourselves here - if Hogan is fit, then he plays. I doubt they drop Weideman after just one game and, as he was last in, Pedersen will be first out. He doesn't deserve to be dropped, but it will happen regardless of Hogan is right to go.
-
It's not going to happen, but it's a hell of a lot better to talk about at this point of the season than who we are going to draft in November.
-
Carlton are a rabble. Their game plan is okay against some teams but their list is terrible. Again, I have no idea why the media talks them up. They're not a good football side.
-
Last quarter is about to start, can't wait to enjoy that one again!
-
I believe Justin Plapp said before this game that Salem needs at least another month at Casey to get himself back to full fitness. He was only playing 80% game time last night. Happy to wait on him, no need to rush him back.
-
How that bloke still has a job is a mystery to me. So many better options out there.
-
Why not? It's not a negative thread.
-
Realistically, we will probably only see one change: In: Hogan Out: Pedersen That's not a knock on Pedersen, but if Hogan is right to go then he plays. I reckon Weideman will probably get at least one more week in the seniors.

Casey 16, Bombers 0 Would love a follow up on the Hibberd info AAC!
-
It's certainly right up there. Our wins down at the Cattery in '05 and last year would go close, as does the Elimination Final win over Carlton. Rolling Carlton by 100 points would be high on the list too.
-
I don't agree with that at all big fella, but we will just have to agree to dis-agree. Cheers.
