  1. Wasn't he 'flighty' or something? Strange. Great news for the club, though. It might only be an extra year but he has shown some commitment moving forward to the cause and that can only be viewed as a positive!
  2. Every club is hunting Petracca, which is fine, as he is still under contract for another two seasons. Good luck to them.
  3. Seems like a harsh comment from you, dazzle.
  4. Can someone check in with @binman please? How many people can say they played 81 games of AFL footy? There aren't a whole lot, and while I think this move is right for the club moving forward, I can't help but think that Oscar got every ounce of ability out of himself when he played for the club. Okay, that ability might have fallen short of others, but he did a good job for us in 2018 when we reached the Prelim (and in the EF and SF games he was part of a backline that kept the opposition to very modest scores). All the best, Oscar. Hopefully someone takes a punt but, if not, I wish you well in any future endeavours.
  5. It's clear there is plenty still to play out here. We of course have the option of taking both picks to the draft and select two young kids. Or, we sit back and wait to see if any further offers crop up earlier in the draft. We can turn these two picks into something better and potentially select the player we have our eye on. Either way, we've done a great job this trade period and we can do even better once the draft rolls around.
  6. You love this to death, but the chances of it happening or slim to none.
  7. If Tom could potentially get himself right for 2021, then he could almost be our best acquisition of the off season.
  8. He really had no idea how to spin it. He probably can't come out and say they stuffed their salary cap badly and therefore had to go the fire sale route, but it left him with nowhere to go. Good on him for sticking his head up, but he got it shot off in the end.
  9. I was going by this tweet as I couldn't listen in - must have mentioned the wrong McDonald:
  10. I thought he said that he was going to come back for pre-season, work hard and look to get back into our best 22? Perhaps that might have been Tom he was talking about?
  11. Re: Oscar, I believe Mahoney said he will be on the list in some capacity in 2021. Happy with the outcomes from this period. Hannan and Preuss were surplus to requirements, we added Brown to our forward line and did very well in trading our picks, leaving us with those two first rounders that we can do something with closer to the draft. A little more pace on the opposite wing would have been handy but we'll see how we go in house over the summer. I think we're well placed through this to get back into the finals race in 2021.
  12. So glad the Dogs held on to Dunkley. Still has two years to run on his deal and the Bombers were arrogant enough to just offer one first round pick. Dogs stuck to their guns and they've now got two years to turn things around, which they are more than capable of doing.
  13. Clearly his contract was too large for us to eat. Perhaps if we had of been able to move T Mac on we might have been more of a chance. But we can't land everyone.
  14. I'm hearing 18 and 19 for Josh Dunkley.
  15. Just to go with this - apparently our future first is in play, so you would expect Brisbane's first and something else might come up.
  16. Apparently us and Brisbane in talks about a future pick swap.
  17. Also great to see that neutral supporters reckon we paid massive unders for Brown. It's fantastic.
  18. Sounds pretty darn good to me! We still have two picks in the second round to potentially package together while also getting Brown into the club without using a first round pick! Great stuff!
  19. Sounds like we've given North a variety of options - some reports say that we've thrown up names like ANB or Vanders in these discussions - but North aren't keen on any of them. Looks like they just want picks, or the players they may have asked for (like a Harmes) is off the table. I don't mind us trying a few different things as long as we get the deal done in the end.
  20. I don't think that really matters too much. There isn't a whole of difference between them - if it's 26 and a swap of fourth rounders of something then that's a terrific outcome for us.
  21. That's North's fault. When you pull an offer and tell him he's gone, it doesn't give you much bargaining power.
