2023 Injury List
I don't see that interview as arrogant, rude or whatever....that is just him, awkward and weird plus a hate for the attention. Nothingball.

He was considered for the North game. Oliver will play. Stress less.

PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Carlton
Poor bugger Petty, season from hell for him all round. We just need to move on now. I think many were hopeful but thats footy. On a positive, even though its a big loss, we can still win without him. Not ideal to still be sorting our forwardline out at this time of year. Petty has only played 14 games this year. With only 6 games since round 9, 4 of which he was subbed off in. He has also been subbed off in 3 of his last 4 games and 4 out of his last 7. So as much as it sucks, we ARE used to life without him and need to move on. It probably looks worse after his bag of 6. The big question is, who can fill the void until Fritsch comes back, I'm hoping it isn't Smith or Grundy.

PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Carlton
While everyone is concerned about Petty, I think a bigger issue is these in-game fade-outs for long periods, not much is being said about it because we are winning. However come finals, I hope this is ironed out with better preparation, concentration and team defence, especially from the midfield. This has probably coincided with Oliver out and Petracca forward so hopefully the inclusion of Oliver is the start of tidying this up. When the midfield doesn't defend as well as they should it just puts pressure on our defence. And with Petty (out of the defence group and injured and who is arguably also our best defender) if we are going to trust guys like Joel Smith and Tomlinson to take up that role, it is now so important for our midfield to defend hard up the ground. If we tidy this up, we'll be hard to stop, but it's definitely a slight concern for a side sitting 2nd, we just need to absorb the pressure better. This is another reason why Oliver is so important to us structurally heading into finals.

Not too much margarine, Zak got 10 this week himself.- Christian Petracca a chance to win the 2023 Brownlow Medal?

I haven't seen the game v Roos yet however with Petty out, the common sense thing that comes to mind with Oliver back is Petracca to spend all of his time forward to cover until Fritsch/Petty come back. He's strong in the contest, good overhead and will hit the scoreboard. I don't see the point of changing too much, ie: Smith, Brown, Schache, Grundy. No need to panic, we won without Petty this year.- NON-MFC: Rd 21 2023
I have a few issues with anything Geelong mate haha- NON-MFC: Rd 21 2023
And then he prances around high-tenning all of his teammates with a big [censored] eating grin after kicking a goal from 1m out- PREGAME: Rd 21 vs North Melbourne

So basically a $50,000 fine, what a joke. The AFL continues to deliver incompetency.- PREGAME: Rd 21 vs North Melbourne
- Have we officially found our full forward?
Round 6, 2004 Cam Bruce kicked 7.2 and had 25 disposals and we won by over 100pts v Carlton, remember that game clear as day. Random stat I like is Adem Yze kicked 5 goals in a game 5 times as well.- PREGAME: Rd 21 vs North Melbourne
Ahhhh. This is what absolutely [censored] me with the AFL. The roll-out of "Rule of the Week" It changes most weeks, then the following week it disappears. And when they do knuckle down on one rule a lot of the time it's barely even there. It's hard to watch and I'd imagine frustrating to play against as it's relaxed the following week. The rules are already written in black and white, just do your job and umpire those rules each week without the need to escalate things. Sure, send the club a reminder each week for educational purposes, but don't go pinging free kicks left right and centre for a different rule each week. Rant over.- Farewell Brodie Grundy
Gawn has missed what 3 games?, with 3 x 10 day breaks around the bye, I'm sure the club would've managed him accordingly. We only have 4 games left and then he (and everyone else) get another week off. He won't be rested, he's hit top form. They can manage his TOG also. Edit: there you go, Goody thinks the same.- PREGAME: Rd 21 vs North Melbourne

Let's see how dodgy the AFL are themselves are with how they handle this. You can't have this sort of thing happening and gotten away with yet rub players out for weeks for things like tackling techniques.- Finals preference
Any options bar Lions at the Gabba. Finishing 2nd makes things a hell of a lot easier than 3rd or 4th.- Aliir Aliir & Lachie Jones in Concussion Protocol
I know they didn't win, which is why your bolded part is exactly what I meant. " stripped of the one game premiership points for which they have erred in" Poorly worded maybe. They should be stripped of 4 premiership points (whether win or loss) for the game they have erred in.- Aliir Aliir & Lachie Jones in Concussion Protocol
How is this story tracking - I've been away a couple of days, any heat from the AFL? The more I think about it the more I think Port have blatantly cheated here. No test for Aliir and Jones subbed off with a "migraine" reeks something dodgy. You could understand a tiny amount if one of those but not both together. I'm no lawyer nor know the exact rules but surely this is bringing the game into disrepute, ie; "abuse of position in order to obtain a benefit"? If the AFL are serious about their head injuries then I think a harsh penalty of a decent fine, stripped of the one game premiership points for which they have erred in and loss of draft pick. Either all 3 or a combination of 2.
