  1. What a ridiculous measure. Clearly doesn't take into account taking over ageing lists and starting a rebuild, and also, spots on the ladder fail to represent just how rubbish we currently are. So a coach could take over the spooners and might be the worst coach in history, but could still do no worse than mid table on this ladder.
  2. If Jack thinks he has it tough from the Melbourne fans, he would be shocked to hear what other clubs' supporters think of him. Melbourne fans stuck up for him a lot in the early years especially.
  3. Agree Strauss is unlucky. I really think he will be a good player and is the type who will improve as the team gets better, and he has that little bit of extra time and more options to hit up with his kicking, which we know is a strength. I would be inclined to leave him there all season unless his form dropped off considerably.
  4. I was referring to the myth that he only plays well against poor opposition. As I said, that is rubbish. I know full well that Colin has at various times in his career let himself down with his application.
  5. That is rubbish. He has played some of his best footy, including this year, against decent opposition. Typical Demonland myth.
  6. Haha, seriously what is your go? Someone's not allowed to say they think Jack Watts is a forward?
  7. Chris Dawes' voice genuinely hurts my ears, couldn't get any lower if he tried.
  8. A bit?? I would say it is close to the shittest thing I have read on this site for a while, and that is saying something. By all means, critique the kids game, but FFS, to have a go at him about the handling of his injury is just ridiculous.
  9. Threads like this make me dislike some of our own supporter base sometimes.
  10. Of course it is, but we are where we are, and today was an improvement. Not even close enough to convince me Neeld is the right man for the job but a small step in the right direction.
  11. From the moment I saw Sellar in red and blue he has always looked good in the backline, but horrible up forward. Just leave him there FFS. He is directly competing with Tom McDonald for a spot and at the moment he is in front. Magner immediately makes our midfield noticeably better, and even if it is only short term until others pass him, I don't care, he should be starting in the guts every single week.
  12. I'm pretty sure he copped a lot of attention that day. Moloney dragged us back from a big deficit and I would be stunned if Malthouse just let that fly. And even if he couldn't take a tag, he wouldn't be the first player to do so. In fact only a select few can handle a tag and still consistently impact games. The fact he got a tag regularly shows he had quality that very few in our midfield have, actually moreso than all bar one of our current crop.
  13. I am intrigued that every second post about Moloney says he beats up on rubbish teams. Personally I didn't notice that anymore than any other player. I distinctly remember him tearing Collingwood a new one on Queens Birthday.
  14. Even more interesting is that the word 'i d i o t' gets censored on here.
  15. Was genuinely interested to see just what was the dumbest football. I reckon a soccer ball, thing just bounces and rolls in straight lines, what an idiot.
  16. I do recall during negotiations Pedersen saying he wanted to stay, so perhaps the third year was thrown in as a kicker. Anyway you paint it, that is still baffling.
  17. We have the weekly cycle where optimism slowly builds throughout the week only to be crushed. and We have the annual cycle where optimism slowly builds leading into the season only to be crushed. I am slowly getting on top of the first one, but am still a sucker every pre-season.
  18. Richmond's greatest strength is our greatest weakness. I expect we will come out and go hard but as soon as a couple of quick goals go against us and we are down by 3 or 4, the white flag will be hoisted. So basically same as most weeks for the past few years. Yay, go dees.
  19. So since James Frawley is under contract and not available for FA, are you suggesting we give him some sort of pay out and delist him. If Frawley leaves, and I don't want him too, it has to be for very decent compensation.
  20. We are already at rock bottom. A coach only has to make us competitive to be a hero with the fans at the moment. And even a failure would be more of an indictment on the club, and not so much on the coach himself.
  21. Keep our high draft picks and have a football department that will develop players properly, imagine that. And then throw money around willy nilly at free agency. Dale Thomas and others should be receiving big offers from the MFC. We almost have to behave like an expansion side, stock pile the best young kids, and then try and use the cap space left from having such a young list at established mids through FA. Getting a decent 25 year old mid to come here will obviously be the hard part though.
  22. If I were him I would change my last name, move out of home, and say i have never heard if Steven Stretch...or just enter the draft. But in all seriousness, love having young men who love the club from the get go. Don't know much about him but hopefully he turns out alright.
  23. If I hear one more reference to training well I will spew.
  24. Maybe read at least the start of the post
  25. Sorry Machine, that is the shittest post I have read in a while. No other club with a small/medium supporter base would draw many more if they were faced with the exact same situation as we were yesterday. The fact anyone is willing to hand over their hard earned at the moment is a small miracle.
