I would love that. Half time would confuse the **** out of BT. His fat head would explode -
Coach with Aging Team Wants Shorter Quarters
Brownie replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
With the lower scores again this year, the AFL are due to do something stupid with the rules again. Maybe shorter quarters and longer breaks to squeeze more ads in? Knee Jerk time is near. -
I'd at least hit the mute button to stay Dwayne free
-
Good to see the umps are consistent and are giving the cats are free ride both home and away. Gee I hope we play them first week of the finals. They just aren't that good Surely one of the top four teams below us has to stumble soon. I was hoping it would be Geelong today.

Brayshaw's yelling even when speaking a normal sentence drives me nuts. I'd love to have a mute commentators function for Foxtel
-
He knew how to dress though

I was thinking about Tomlinson last night. Petty is just getting better and better

Jaded, I think you're right about May and his importance. We also went a bit quiet for five or ten minutes in the third as Carrie and Tracc lost a bit of their influence. I think we would be just as screwed if either of those two were out as well. I just couldn't see the likes of Viney, Harmes or Sparrow being able to do what those two do for us out of the middle and out of the packs. It was a great team effort but May, Tracca and Clarrie are essential for us if we are to grab some silverware.

Loved Ben's post game interview. Just a great big bloody grin on his face. We just looked so much better with him in the team. Great match winning game by TMAC too. He kicks 'em when others miss.
-
Tracc and Clarrie go quiet and we fall apart. Midfield depth is an illusion.
-
Jeeez Fritsch held without and then high.
-
Did you miss an "i" in his surname between the g and n?
-
Two Demontime goals. Dodgy Free Aaaargh
-
We've got them staggering now. We needed the next goal as reward. Great snap Tracc. Go Dees make these port supporters go vewy vewy qwiet
-
Great chase down Tracc!
-
He's going alright
-
Clarry held without the ball, goal to Port
-
Gee we're looking better this week. our forward line looks dangerous. Now for four quarters of this and we should crack all 25 of the port players
-
More of our players should do it. I say it with a heavy heart.
-
Umps are stepping up. Port throwing the ball like its NRL Well done Spargs!
-
I reckon we're going to win this unless the umps really step up
-
I'm not too concerned how many BB kicks. I think he'll be a bit rusty. What it should do is let Fritsch off the leash now. He was slumping but really got his touch back last week, if he can continue without having three blokes swarming him like last week due to the fact they're going to have to man up on Benny, we should hopefully get some more "connection". God I hate that term. Go Dees. Underdogs again.

Umpire Margetts is a bit of a bad-luck charm for Dees
Brownie replied to waynewussell's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah I mentioned this in another post. Almost without fail every week our captain gets a cowards punch to the back of his head. Usually hard enough to put him on the ground. Never a free....they're just trying to spoil and obviously it couldn't be chopping the arms because you know, he got punched in the head not the arms. I do worry about his long term safety and the fact the punches will get harder come finals time. I could just see a concussion rule him out through a dog act that won't even get a free paid let alone a suspension. The commentators will just say "He made him earn it hahaha" -
Completely agree. They can work out whatever strategy they like to beat us but if we apply pressure and don't let them execute, turnovers happen and we win the ball back. The amount of times there were a ring of GWS players circling a contest while our blokes stood back on the weekend was worrying. And ... Our forward structure and delivery is screwed. And ... The forward pressure which is such a big part of our "brand" has gone off the boil.

Yep, First goal to Toby Geene early on Saturday was a freebie from Margetts (no. 6 yeah?) Greene straight armed / open palm directly to Hibberds face, ball went loose, Greene picked it up and dropped his knees as he was being tackled by us and pulled a "professional free" as the comentators called it. Should have been holding the ball against but you know, why not give GSW one early to get 'em rolling. I know umps make mistakes but dead set, he was right there.
