Fair call re Stoinis. Marnus isn't a big hitter but he is been good at righting the ship more than once. Smith too. With Marsh finding some form again we will look quite dangerous with him firing alongside Maxwell. We need a couple of bowlers to step up though. We are lucky to have Zampa but he needs help. Will be an ripper of a game against S.A.

Don't get why we decided to bat first after the Afghanistan game. Also why bowl Marsh and Stoinis before Head? Either way, it's another average bowling effort by a few in this one. Going to be a tough finals series with one real strike bowler in Zampa.

We fared very well given our plethora of injuries. It was an unlucky year losing quality players every three weeks. I wish we had recruited another big fwd but I still feel confident about next year.

Don't take this the wrong way as I think Trac is one of our best players but towards the end of the season he had trouble impacting games in the first halves. Would storm home in the second but often we were playing catch up too often.

I get the talk is cheap comment. But if anyone at the club has earned the right to talk it's Max. I think it's good that the club is saying we are disappointed and pulling out all the stops.

Sounds like you really enjoyed it as well LH. Before anyone says it was only Afghanistan, it should be said they have some very good players. The fact that every other Aussie batsman failed is proof of their bowling prowess. It's true that Afghanistan's bowlers were loose at times but that was simply down to the pressure of Maxy smacking them all over the ground. Seeing him stand there on one leg was as #WcW mentioned , inspiring. Forget Bazball. #ilovemaxball.

I think the Indian crowd was mostly pro Afghanistan. But you could hear and see their allegiance change as Maxy went about his business. He was cheered on in the end. And why wouldn't they.

About the same here. I think I lasted until Starc was out. Came on here to vent and saw Ncs post about Maxwell. Wth. Probably the Best knock in any format . Great support from Captain Cummings. But Maxwell on one leg just standing there and swatting them over the fence was sublime. The guy had bowled ten overs in 40 degree heat and then comes out and makes a double century. All after a week of concussion. SA and India fans must be sweating now.
