The year of the Dee
I misspoke. I think I've watched around over double that. I didn't want to sound weird but we are all friends here. Misspoke.....I think she is related to mrliedthroughmyteeth. Interesting how this word has popped into our modern vernacular.

Best 44 2024
Really like to see Kozzie not get suspended as much. Jvr too. They are both young and I guess some agro is part of what makes them good. May used to get in trouble but mellowed as he got older .

The year of the Dee
We all need another flag this year. Hands up if you've watched the replay of 21 over twenty times. Need another one asap. In the immortal and wise words of Grandpa Simpson... " Gimmee gimmee gimmee."

The year of the Dee
I do muse if your hatred of Essendon is greater than your love of the Dees. Either way I guess I admire the passion. And tx to you I've got " we built this city on rock and roll" stuck in my head.

The year of the Dee
Now that I've looked at the stats I wonder how good that Lions team was. They never finished minor premiers in those three years they won the flag.

The year of the Dee
That game was played at a frenzied pace. To be fair to Essendon they had an incredible amount of talent. One of those awesome teams that pop up every so often. The Dons had dropped one game all year compared to our eight. One could argue that team should have won multiple flags as they finished first the year prior and after. It's why I really hope we win this year because cup windows don't stay open that long. The irony to be beaten by such a great team was that the Dons were hammered by one of the best teams ever in the Lions that won three in a row.

The year of the Dee
Tx Binners. I just checked Tab and your not far from the mark. 1.55 to make finals. Equal with Carlton in fourth spot to be final four at $3. Equal with Carlton in fourth spot to win flag at $ 9.

The year of the Dee
He's a great reason to be excited about this years footy. A fit forward line of Petty, Fritta and a Jvr will be dynamite I reckon.

The year of the Dee
Thanks L G The big take away from last year was we almost made it with a plethora of injuries. I'm confident we will be top four again this year as well.

The year of the Dee
Not to take anything away from our sublime 2021 flag but it's now Sixty years since we have won a granny at our home ground. Let's hope after dropping out in straight sets two years in a row we can win this year. I dearly want to be able to attend a grand final with us winning. Do most of us think we will be in the mix again?

2023 Player Reviews: #9 Charlie Spargo
Quiet season for Spargo. Hoping he gets back to his best in 24. Actually Kozzie and Anb had quiet ones as well. Chandler started in a fanfare and disappeared. Kozzie still scored goals but didn't seem to impact games like last year. But back to Spargo, I will say he always finds a teammate with his pin point disposals.

First game?
Brian Wilson was one of my favorite players. Those other names were more than handy too.

2024 MFC Season Preview
Interesting choice of best. It accounts for quite a bit In the backline Salem returned on a blaze of glory and then quickly faded away. Tommo was short changed in terms of selection ......big time. Oliver, Langdon and Hunter all had very much less than stellar seasons. No arguments about that. Then we have Petty and Fritta' struggling big time with significant foot injuries. Anb was down on form as was Kozzie.so in the scheme of things it really was an incredible effort that we did so well.

First game?
Yes. Quite Ironic. Many believed that the return of Barassi would herald a new dawn.
