I was thinking about this the other day. My dad was a dedicated Dees man and saw them win our last flag. He stopped following them about 20 so years ago citing the club had gone soft. How he concluded this im not sure. Probably just frustrated with them. I was wondering that I will probably do the sa mne at some stage. I know doggies fan had it worse but I Im really starting to think I dont want to wait another 10 years to see a flag. Also it may not even happen in 10. For older supporters its getting more and more annoying not seeing a premiership. I guess one wonders what point do you lose hope. Isnt it silly to keep hoping against hope? Last year I enjoyed the footy immensely but if next year is like this one I dont think I could keep following footy. Sometimes I wish it was still the vfl and we only had 11 other clubs to compete with. Sorry I just had to vent.

Hes a keeper but I guess perhaps after the year we have had everything is on the table.

Saying goodbye to quite a few players that havent really helped our season this year. Hore to continue playing well. No more injuries. Summer holidays.

Nonetheless will be an interesting dual. Watching Freo playing pa at the minute and Hogan shades of his better form. We miss him as someone that would run all the way down the ground to take a mark or crash a pack.

Perhaps we could have used the $ spent on Preuss since we dont play him.

Delivery has been shocking but Tmac is dropping simple marks, missing said shots and barely tackling. I think its mostly between the ears and perhaps injury. Tom is clearly a confidence player and for whatever reason cannot pull himself out of this rut. A rest may do him the world of good and certainly wont hamper our chance of winning.

Without a full forward who can average a minimum 2 goals a game and a decent crumber feeding off him we will never b e competitive on the scoreboard. Tmac was the obvious choice but where was his back up. Weid was really an unknown quantity. Why we didnt replace Hogan is hard to understand.

Speaking of stats......now we are 1 game away from the bottom.......does anyone know how many teams have gone from prelim to wooden spoon in one season?

His form dropped off at a crucial time 2 years ago and he hasnt played that well since. I hope he leaves this year. Played a part but his best seems well behind.

The 110 point forward line of 2018 has just imploded. 1. Hogan left 2. We still only get Gimpses of Sam who apart from finals last year struggled. 3. Vanders is injured. 4. Hannan injured and out of form. 5. Omacs brother. 6. Garlett is past it. 7. Kents gone. 8.No viable crumber.

I dont doubt Spargos commitment but I dont think he is big enough for Afl and his disposals are panicky.
