So what if people criticise the players and club after a loss. A lot of supporters buy memberships, go to games and club meets etc We are a passionate and very patient bunch. Lets face it 50 years without a flag and the last ten without finals is pretty bloody f.....well you know. Yes we have improved.....we bloody well couldn't have gotton much worse than 2 years ago and I for one appreciate it Yet many of us need to vent about decisions made by the club and players performances and surely thats okay. Thats the nature of passionate supporters.Better on a website than an english soccer game riot. Im sure there would be much less venting if we played a lot better....so its not all about negativity. I for one will never complain again if we win just one flag before I meet my maker

There is no doubt we are improving but some of many of these supporters haven seen a premiership for 20....30....40.. and yes fifty years IMo some of them deserve a medal for supporting the club at times Yes there are a few cheap shots but on the whole we are a bloody loyal bunch who I think deserve better than what the team served up today. Yes I said deserve because it is the supporters who pay the memberships, go to games and pay for cable tv subscriptions Perhaps many supporters have a right to pay out on the club now and then. How good is Max when he moves up forward. A 2nd ruck would let him do it more often and he could add 2 or 3 goals a game

Spot on. We are better than we played today and it why it is so annoying. Why were we so slow to get to contests? Why didnt our tackles stick? Melb was like the sound on my foxtel play which arrived 5 seconds after the action Yes the defence was under pressure but it needs to do better. That's their job. Cant give them a pass for being under the pump.

Well hes owned up to it this time

You will not see Geelong relinquishing games from kardiania or whatever its called or crows or port saying we would like more games away from Adelaide. The logic of being good enough to play anywhere means we should not play at the mcg at all. Hell we need all the help we can get. We need to get used to winning first and then give away advantages.

Jones played well and despite a few clangers early on was probably Melbs BOG. Watts could have stepped up but has trouble plating back to back good games still This is a side coming out of ten years from hell. We are still on track to win 10 games but we are still a long way to trouble the top six. We need 2 polished defenders and another ruck/fwd to get there. Lets remember that this is more like a home game for port given the travel for us Hope we try harder against hawthorn. At least we wont be faves.

you are right we do kid ourselves. what else can we do? follow another club....there are times I wish I could but we all know it doesn't work like that so we live in hope and part of that does involve believing that we are good but I guess its our own fault

I hope the club comes down hard on few payers this week and drops 3 or 4. Newton typifies the club to me. He is 24 and has played 16 games. Not many other clubs would have someone like that on their list. Another is Garland who is like Miller of old and just keeps getting picked. We seem to lack the real intensity from not just players but all on all levels. Its a credit to us supporters that we keep backing them. Yes we have improved and done some good recruiting but we need to do much much more to not just play finals one day but to be genuine contenders. We wont get there with quite a few of the players on our list as well as moving home games 1000 miles away.Think BiG picture like a premiership. That will boost the coffers. Us supporters deserve it. We pay for it all. I mean we have been patient for fifty years now. Cut us some slack MFC. Please.

We know we wont make finals now. Well done Max. Watts needs to be more consistent as does garlett. Kennedy and tyson absolute shockers. Not a few young players looked out of place.
